Lucky to start off rich with wealthy parents

Mitt Romney's childhood home. 5,500 sq. feet. It's old here, but wasn't back when he was a little kid.

Paul Ryan's childhood home. He worked for a summer flipping burgers. But did he need to?

Obama's childhood home. A single window.

I used Google and found these pictures.

I was just watching this show and they were talking about these guys childhood homes and the difference in their backgrounds. The part when they showed the Ann Romney speech when she said she studied with a door on two sawhorses for a desk and an ironing board for a dinner table while they (her and Mitt) ate tuna and pasta was so unbelievable. It would make more sense to eat off the door on the two sawhorses. It would be the right height. Besides, would you iron where you ate tuna and pasta? Of course not, it's ridiculous. The entire story is about as believable as Ryan's 20 minute marathon. The Republican leadership must think we are really gullible to believe something so stupid.

Bush, Ryan, Romney, they don't get the middle class because they were never really a part of it. A 5,500 sq. ft. house? Really?

Romney: Borrow Money From Your Parents - YouTube

You can't tell other people you "did it alone" when you start off like this. I know right wingers will say, "Oh, you're just jealous" completely missing the point.

It's easy for the right to cut benefits for the elderly and the poor and the Middle Class when people like Romney and Ryan never have known what it means to be any of those things. And the next time they talk about their "struggle", we have a duty to cry out "Bullshit!"

we hate success in this country and we're going to prove it. Why why did the democrats have to take this road? this petty even of them.

Its the rw's who 'took this road' with all the garbage about envy and jealousy. AND, this board has harped on it every single day.

Fact is, Romney was born to huge money and his wife was born to even more money. The Obama's were born to the middle class and earned their wealth.

Romney "earned" his wealthy by putting companies into impossible debt and then forcing them into bankruptcy.

Obama earned his, for the most part, with his books.

Hate him if you want but stop lying.

awwww, mommy they did it first.

It's such a shame what the right wing has done. Here is a man who started off in truly humble beginnings. They want to call that into question the same way they want to call his even being American into question even though there is no doubt his mother was born in this country. At least they can't lie about that.

We know he took out student loans.

White wingers want so bad for there to be a connection with Bill Ayers when Obama was only 8 when Ayers was doing his stuff.

They want so bad for there to be a connection between Rezko even though they can't say what that is beyond they were neighbors.

They can't believe a black guy could write two books without a white guy doing it for him.

They repeat the same lies over and over again about Obama never having a job even thought we know he worked from everything from behind a soda counter to teaching. Maybe white wingers don't believe anything to do with learning is a real job.

And this guy did it all without being born white into a rich family with business connections.

And they say I'm demonizing rich, white people? These clowns are saying that after what they've said? Really?

And they can't give Obama credit for any of the great things he's done as president. They can't see it, they won't see it.

And they say it's not about race. Do they believe their own lies? Really? Do they?

Dean do you ever shut up?....

They can't stop lying. The hate is in their Confederate core. Way more than "skin deep".

My my so much anger and outrage from the left over the Romney family wealth of course the icons of the Democratic party the Kennedy's started off pretty well didn't they?
0130_kennedy-compound.jpg

Oddly enough, for all the wealth of the Kennedy's, they, after a time, broke with their political roots to gain perspective, and understand the context in which people are kept poor in this country. Even Ted, who lost his brothers, who could have said fuck America for all they cost my family, and who didn't need the job, worked tirelessly for the interests of the working people and the poor of this nation all of his adult life.

That is the difference between attitudes towards who and what liberals view as the TRUE "entitlement class" and people like the Kennedy's.

I hate to point out the obvious here, Barb but being FROM Massachusetts I've gotten to watch the Kennedy Clan in action for years. What you call "working tirelessly for the interests of the working people and the poor of this nation" is a cottage industry for the Kennedy's. It's what they do for a LIVING. Most people go to college or trade school to learn a marketable skill...if you're a Kennedy you've got a job lined up already..."public service".

Take Citizen's Oil, a non-profit in Mass that Joe Kennedy II started back in 1979. It's been a cash cow for both him and Michael Kennedy for decades...providing a hefty salary while leaving lots of time to play. How would YOU like to have a job paying $600,000 a year that you only spent an average of ten hours a week at! Gosh, those Kennedy's sure are SELFLESS!!!! Always thinking of the little guy as they jet back and forth between mansions in Palm Beach like the one below and mansions in Hyannis Port.

http://www.washingtonlife.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/kennedys3preview0209.jpg

Remember Mitt Romney giving all of his inheritance to charity? You've got a better chance of getting struck by lightning in a submarine than ever seeing a Kennedy do something like that.

Dudley....you forgot to say everyone that is against Obama its because he is Black.....you and Dean have to keep your stories synched.....

Hell some folks are born into it and go on to have a good life going to work
starting companies and then go into public service like Mike Bloomberg and Mitt Romney.
Some are born into it and go into politics like many of the Kennedys.

Some are not and go to work and try to do the best they can creating a better life for their family.

And then we have those who are not born into it and it tears at them and it eats them from within and
it makes their life a living hell wondering why they weren't that lucky and they live their lives angry at the world....

I think I've come across a few of them.

Lol and bush started off rich and didn't do shit with his money lol he ran oil companies in Texas during the oil boom and bankrupted, he had all the advantages

If there's one thing the rw's hate, its wealthy people who care about this country and their fellow citizens.

Amazingly, even the middle and poor rw's want to vote against equal rights and equal opportunity for themselves, their children, their neighbors and the rest of the country.

Their mindless hate has completely blinded them to truth and reality. MittRyan (Bush's Brain) laughs at them and they wanna go vote for him. Go figure.

why do you demonize David Koch?.....that guy has donated quite a bit of money to help out his fellow Citizens......

Philanthropy

Since 2000, David H. Koch Charitable Foundation have pledged or contributed more than $600 million to further cancer research, enhance medical centers, support educational institutions, sustain arts and cultural institutions, and conduct public policy studies. Since 2006, the Chronicle of Philanthropy has listed Koch as one of the world's top 50 philanthropists.
Medical research
In 1992, Koch was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He underwent radiation, surgery, and hormone therapy, but the cancer returned every time. Koch believes his experience with cancer has encouraged him to fund medical research. He says, "once you get that disease and I've had it for 20 years almost, you become a crusader to try to cure the disease not only for yourself but for other people."
Koch sits on the Board of Directors of the Prostate Cancer Foundation and has contributed $41 million to the Foundation, including $5 million to a collaborative project in the field of nanotechnology. Koch is the eponym of the David H. Koch Chair of the Prostate Cancer Foundation, a position currently held by Dr. Jonathan Simons.
In 2007, he contributed $100 million to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to help fund the construction of a new 350,000-square-foot (33,000 m2) research and technology facility to serve as the home of the David H. Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research.
Koch contributed $20 million to Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. The building he financed was named the David H. Koch Cancer Research Building.
Koch contributed $30 million to the Memorial Sloan–Kettering Cancer Center in New York
Koch contributed $25 million to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston to establish the David Koch Center for Applied Research in Genitourinary Cancers
Koch contributed $15 million to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center
Koch contributed $5 million to the House Ear Institute, in Los Angeles, to create a center for hearing restoration
Koch contributed $25 million to the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City
The Arts
In July 2008, Koch pledged $100 million over 10 years to renovate the New York State Theater in the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (now called the David H. Koch Theater),and has pledged $10 million to renovate the outdoor fountains at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Koch has been a trustee of the American Ballet Theater for 25 years and has contributed more than $6 million to the theater.

Koch Dinosaur Wing and a contribution of $15 million to the National Museum of Natural History to create the new David H. Koch Hall of Human Origins, which opened on the museum's 100th anniversary of its location on the National Mall on March 17, 2010.[32] In 2012, Koch contributed US $35 million to the Smithsonian to build a new dinosaur exhibition hall at the National Museum of Natural History. [33]
Koch also financed the construction of Deerfield Academy's $68 million Koch Center for mathematics, science and technology,[34] and was named the first and only Lifetime Trustee.[34]
Koch gave $10 million to the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory[35] where he was honored with the Double Helix Medal for Corporate Leadership for supporting research that, "improves the health of people everywhere."[36]

so WHAT?
Obama gave OUR MONEY to his cronies in the green energy and THEY WENT BANKRUPT
now guess which one I give more of a shit about

The right wing can't give Obama even the tiniest bit of credit. Not for anything. They insist his every accomplishment was by "someone else". They can't even accept him as "American". Their "hate" is enormous. It colors every thought. They can't even look at a picture of him without a gut feeling of hate they feel as actual physical feeling. Ask them what it is and some will come right out and admit it's about his color.

Others will try to say it's his policies. But ask which policies they find so offensive, and they things that are just bizarre. He's a Marxist or a Communist or he wants to take away your "freedom". But get them alone and even most of them will admit it's about race.

Hey look to yourself. Obama is not poor now, but just ask him, and you.

He didn't build that success. We did.

At least their entire lives aren't dedicated to evil.

Warren Buffet gives billions.

Bill Gates gave 28 billion.

Those guys were actually trying to make the world a better place. Not just give a few million so right wingers would have something to point at besides just doing evil. I don't see Buffet or Gates holding back millions of barrels of oil to force the cost of oil in this country to go up just so they could make a "killing".
