I stumbled across a media assessment of the power of Television in politics.

It was a segment called "Lights. Camera. Politics."

And it used the 1980 presidential election (Carter-Reagan-Anderson) as a focus of it's analysis to show how TV slowly but surely has replaced the function of party bosses.

The video quality here is bad, but you still get the idea, and there are some details you may really enjoy, especially some important historical details.

I wonder how long it will be until a reportage comes out over the way the internet slowly took over US politics...
