They had 3 children and both parents were professionals.

My sister got the kids up, fixed their breakfast,
made their lunches while the kids got dressed for school,
and made sure they had their backpacks
before leaving the house to drop them off.

She would run errands and do shopping for the house
and the chores written on the dry erase board for that day.

When it was time, she would pick up the kids from school
and, depending on the day, would drop each of them off at....
a swimming class
piano lessons
guitar lessons
trumpet lessons
tennis lessons
soccer practice
baseball practice
dance classes

by the time she was dropping off the 3rd kid,
it was time to swing back to pick up the first.

They'd get back to the house, do their schoolwork,
she'd fix dinner and get them ready for bed.
This was Monday through Friday.

Both parents were gone before the kids were up
and the kids were already sleeping when they got home

How sad

doesn't mean she has the right to be irresponsible

You are entitled to your views, there isn't one policy that everybody is going to agree with... You can take any situation, pick it apart and focus on the negative, but what I don't like about your style is the fact that you only point out the negative and seem unwilling to acknowledge the positive. You are entitled to your views, there isn't one policy that everybody is going to agree with...
What is in the best interests of our country
the people and its generations thereof,

Now, with that said....
what I don't like about your style is the fact that you only point out the negative and seem unwilling to acknowledge the positive.
Umm, we're not talking about the invention of the lightbulb,
air conditioners, televisions and telephones....
Perhaps the world that I want to live in is very different than the world that you want to live in. So my view that society has evolved positively is my truth...

Hey, whatever floats your boat. I for one am always going to promote progress weather we are talking about technology or culture. With progress come problems but also many many new opportunities. To me it sounds like you only focus on the problems and would prefer to live in an earlier time. Thats fine if thats what you want to do but the world is going to pass you by and unfortunately you are setting yourself up to get more bitter with time.

That is where you and I differ, Slade3200. I'm always going to promote liberty. Progress is great (few people love and embrace technology more than I do), but not at the cost of liberty. You can have George Orwell's 1984. I want no part of that shit. I'll take 1776 any day.

I don't disagree with that, I'm all for liberty and freedom as long as we are protecting the vulnerable from being harmed by the powerful. The powerful could be big business or it could also be big government
