But the land area isn't what makes the money.

Germany has a population of 82 million, PA has 12 million. Nearly 7 times smaller. So why is one Senate seat for the winning candidate the same as every candidate in a country which is nearly 7 time larger?

Germany's GDP is $3,980 trillion, PA's is $724 trillion. Again, much smaller. Why does one seat equate to the whole country in Germany?

There are plenty of middle class folks out there who have done well in the last 30 years.

However, the middle class has segmented so that it isn't easy (or possible it would seem) to apply any single metric to them as a whole.

The problem is that reality bites your premise in the proverbial ass, possibly even the literal ass.

The reality is that we are given two realistic choices. I say realistic as having a realistic chance at actually winning. So in every election, we realistically have two choices, and we are left, as we were in 2016, choosing the least worst candidate available. For the Obama years, that least worst was Obama. McCain showed the Republicans were foolish with the it’s his turn mentality. In 2016, Democrats demonstrated they were just as foolish with the it’s her turn mentality.

The Democrats have done nothing for the Middle Class. A charge you claim is the Republican’s honor. The Republicans may screw us, but we get screwed just as hard, if not harder by the Democrats. Doubt me? Then let’s play this game.

Obamacare did not help the Middle Class. The obvious answer was to create nationally accepted insurance. If you wanted to go with the Insurance answer that is. Like the old days when businesses had stickers showing what credit cards they accepted, it would have been a breeze to create insurance that crossed state lines, or county lines.

I live in Georgia. The group I am in is in Savannah. If I travel to Atlanta, in the same fucking state, I am now out of Network. So if I get sick, I’m screwed. Yet, there are in network doctors for the same insurance company in Atlanta. But not my network.

All Obamacare did was lock us into the disasterous in/out network nonsense. Essentially turning the entire industry into HMO Lite. It didn’t fix anything except the promise of long term profits for the Insurance Companies. If that was the plan, then the smart thing would have been for a cafeteria plan. But no. I have to have prenatal care for my wife, when we are far too old to have children. But at least most of the medical care for that kid we can’t have is covered. Yay.

Bill Clinton campaigned on lowering taxes, and raised them. On among others, the middle class.

So what practical things have the Democrats done to help the Middle Class? Um. We can now be sent to jail in California if we don’t refer to people as Shim.
