Translation: California wants to make money off of other states' children using pot. CA has no regulation on amount of production canvassed to be used within their borders. ie: overproduction means they expect to export a federally-banned substance to other states. They want their share of that cut; making money off of crime in other states. Pretty f-cing amazing and ballsy if you think about it.

Yeah but taxing a substance banned federally? I hear California intends to require growers to file tax returns including their profits from pot. Odd, because the state tax returns cannot be different from federal ones. And pot is illegal federally... That's going to make for some sweaty moments in the old CPA's office come tax time.

It's like if old gay representative Leno in CA got another deviant bill passed that allows, say for example, older men to traffic underaged boys across county lines within the state for sex trade "with parents permission", and then decided for the rest of the nation that the federal laws forbidding that no longer apply. Then they got brazen enough to tax such a trade where the state and federal tax forms had to match up. It's a freight train heading for a crash.
