Lawyers for Nick Sandmann File 250 Million Dollar Lawsuit Against Washington Post

I read the complaint and attachments. A few comments. His witness statement attached as Exhibit A was not written by him but by his lawyer or with substantial editing and input from his lawyer. Too much lawyerese to be written by a teenager. Second, there was nothing in the Washington Post articles that indicates who Nick was, where he lived, or his name. Third, there is nothing in the Post story that even comes close to actual malice.

The question is who fingered Nick as the kid. It was not the Washington Post. There may be an out of court settlement, but no where near the amount his lawyers are asking for.
OH THE HUMANITY! THE LAWSUIT WAS WRITTEN BY A LAWYER AND NOT THE CHILD!

You freaks are too much.
You dumb shit, I was talking about Nick's so-called witness statement not the complaint.
OH THE HUMANITY! A LAWYER WROTE FOR A CHILD!

$250 million? Bezos' will pay an extremely small fraction of that burying this kid's family in legal fees, and forget he spent it the next day.
You lefties love rich people screwing over private citizen children.

How is Bezos screwing anybody over? Sandmann's lawyer knows that's how it's going to end, but he'll still get paid.
You Leftards worship billionaires screwing over children.

And he's just beginning! MAGA Nick Sandmanngave them 48 hours to apologize and was met with silence. Oh well, time to crack that whip!

Lawsuit in link.
For truth, for justice, for Nicholas!

How inconvenient that they STILL have no evidence, huh.

I put that challenge out a MONTH ago and never got a response. Not a single one. Zero.
"Apologize for"................................ what?

From your own link:

>> On January 19, 2019, the Post also posted to its Twitter page and published to approximately 13 million followers its First Article with the following false and defamatory captions, all within a span of 14 minutes, and all within the same thread:
  • “In an interview with The Post, Omaha Tribe elder Nathan Phillips says he ‘felt like the spirit was talking through me’ as teens jeered and mocked him.”
  • “He was singing the American Indian Movement song of unity that serves as a ceremony to send the spirits home. ‘It was getting ugly, and I was thinking: ‘I’ve got to find myself an exit out of this situation and finish my song at the Lincoln Memorial.’”
  • “Phillips, who fought in the Vietnam War, says in an interview ‘I started going that way, and that guy in the hat stood in my way and we were at an impasse. He just blocked my way and wouldn’t allow me to retreat.’” <<
Whelp, guess what. That's a newspaper QUOTING Philips. Is the quote inaccurate? The fact is Philips DID make the statements, he WAS singing a NAm song, and the teens DID jeer and mock him --- "tomahawk chops" are right there in the video.

YOUR OWN LINK, Dumbass. Rotsa ruck with egomaniac attorneys getting their names in print by filing frivolous lawsuits for which they have no evidence. This will be laughed out of court, as it should be.
Wrong! The Post will succumb to MAGA Nick Sandmann and settle. God is on this fine young gentleman's side.

"Settle" WHAT? "Apologize for" WHAT? See, this is why I put this challenge out a month ago, for anyone anywhere to show me evidence. No one could do so.

So you didn't read your own link at all, did ya Dumbass.

Oh and I'm afraid courts do not dabble in "gods". Nor, I'm afraid, do they traffic in "Feelings". You need evidence. Absent that, you're dismissed.

Again back to YOUR OWN LINK here.... the document alleges seven WaPo articles that it ass-serts "published or republished the following false and defamatory statements" and follows with quotes that are supposed to show the Post alleging Smirk-Boi "instigated a confrontation", "engaged in racist conduct", "assaulted Philips" and the like. Yet through every one of these examples (many of which are repeated from a previous article) not once does their own quote show any evidence that the Post did so. The vast majority of them are quoting Philips, other bystanders and a photojournalist. NONE of the assertions appear in the articles. Zero.

Not once. Anywhere.

It's all there. Prove me wrong. Show me what I missed.

We already did this. With the complete copy of the court document, which I was happy to point out shows no evidence to make its case whatsoever.. You can't "win" without "evidence".

Here's what you young'uns need to get through your crania. ANYBODY can file a lawsuit alleging anything they want. Doesn't mean it's a legitimate claim. More often than not it's simply a tactic to bleed the other party dry through legal fees.

I just think its funny , I think that a couple 'canadian' experts were yapping that there would be NO lawsuit or words similar to that . And yeah , of course lets go to court GWarrior .

PLUS they are going after others like 'nathan phillips' --- Weren't there some 'canadian' experts saying that there would be No Suing eh ?? --- Lawyers for Nick Sandmann, high school junior who faced off with Native elder on Lincoln Memorial steps, sue Washington Post for $250 million --- just heard on FOX and then found link to info .

Already two other threads started. In the first of these which links the court document I pointed out that said document offers no evidence whatsoever for its claims. Just as I put the same challenge out here a month ago for anyone anywhere to demostrate a defamation story. None ever showed up. Nor are any involved here.

As I noted in the second of these threads, literally anybody can file a suit about anything. Doesn't mean it has any merit. More often than not it's a publicity stunt, as here. Oh and it's being navigated by Mitch McConnell's associates.

There's no need to wait --- as I said the document is linked, in full. And ZERO of its claims are demonstrated.

I will WAIT , this is brand new news to me and said to be an hour or so old news Pogo .

How sweet it is!

Neither article explains what exactly they are suing the WPost for??? What did the post say that they knew was a lie at the time they reported it? And how has this really hurt the kid with the smirk? Seems like his lawyers want this kid to continue to be in the lime light.... surprised his parents went with this suit that seems to have no grounds or merit for a defamation suit and continues with their son being in the spotlight, with what the kid regrets and wishes he would have walked away from, as was stated in the article??

Me thinks his lawyers are ambulance chasers, or Michael Avenati-ish.

I didn't see a smirk. I saw a determined indian pounding a drum in the face of a teenager.

Demonstrating malice isn't required if you aren't a public figure, fuckstick.
