country has just 1% more jobs than it did when W took office in Jan 2001, and virtually the exact same amount of private sector jobs, numbers would be far worse if you stripped out gov't jobs

Ouch!

And during those eight years the number potential workers grew by what percent?

Five or six percent (not including illegals!) would be my guess.

And yet inexplicably, the unemployment rate somehow manages not not go up anywhere nearly that much.

Astounding isn't it?

The lies our government keeps telling us just keep piling up, folks.

And they say if Congress doesn't pass the bailout bill, then we will lose 100,000 jobs per month through the new year.
