Largest block of voters - group GOP hates - the American Middle Class

The largest block of voters is the one Republicans have worked to squeeze and tear down.

Whether it's:

Slashing funding for education.

The apology to BP.

Sending Middle Class kids off to wars.

Helping the Chamber of Commerce send jobs to China.

Wanting to get rid of the EPA (a few more birth defects are acceptable).

Helping health care companies get as much as they can.

Then there is the slap in the face:

Wanting to help banks and insurance companies but not the car industry and all the millions of jobs connected with the car industry.

Working to destroy the unions.

Voter suppression.

Holding millions of unemployed hostage to get tax cuts that benefit mostly the rich.

Fighting tax cuts for the middle class.

Refusing to invest in America but investing in Iraq.

Being wrong about everything.

Running on "jobs jobs jobs" and then passing abortion laws and making ads insulting to gays (see Rick Perry).

So what exactly is the Republican strategy this time? The majority of Americans know they are on the side of the super wealthy and have no respect for the Middle Class. Voter suppression can only go so far.

The Republican strategy is the same as it always is....to scare white suburban voters with a brown or black boogieman.

From Reagan's "welfare queen" to Willie Horton to Saddam to Bin Laden to the Rev. Wright to mexican immigrants to Obama, the Republicans always try to find a brown or black man to scare white voters with.

You progressives are flat out scared to death to run on your guy's record...aren't you? Three years of "Change You Can Believe In" (It's almost amusing now that so many normally intelligent people fell for that) has brought us to the here and now. By all means lets make this be about "class warfare" and not about the Obama record. Let's ignore the fact that Obama took more in corporate donations than McCain did in 2008. Let's see if we can get the American people to buy that the GOP hates all those EXCEPT the filthy rich. God forbid that we should simply look at Obama's lack of leadership and the sorry state of the economy. Let's pretend the first credit downgrade in the history of the nation never happened. Let's ignore how bad of a piece of legislation ObamaCare really is and how badly it's going to bury us in debt.

Yes, lets talk about how the rich aren't paying their "fair share"!

Damn, that's funny. Twisted, but funny...

Everything, as is the standard M.O. with your dishonest partisan fucks, was deliberately and dishonestly misrepresented.

Sorry to interrupt your circle-jerk.

Obama is against middle class. He panders to the government dependents and the illegal aliens. He's helped kill small businesses and many are afraid to hire because of the Obamacare mess. We've had record unemployment and the lies told now about the rate being under 9% is bull. Who are they really fooling? Many of his supporters are on the doles and could care less about jobs. The same ones get assistance for housing, medical, school and food so inflation isn't a big concern to them. I think people will vote for him because they think he's going to give away more freebies.

The Dems are the ones abandoning the white class working people. It's the welfare crowd and illegals who get the pretty speeches and more promises. The rest of us are more or less expected to keep working so they can take as much money as they want and we should shut up and take it. Maybe they feel they have created enough government dependents to carry them through the election. This will be a contest between the producers and the takers. I pray we still have more people willing to do for themselves than those who are greedy and just want to take what others have earned. Government is the greediest of all. Obama has many Wall Street execs appointed to high positions, along with a host of radicals who believe in government control over communication, population control and socialism. It's no wonder he can't run on his own record and has to vilify the right to make himself look better. Meanwhile, Carter is still doing snoopy dances because he officially is not the worst president anymore.

Why do you think that they spend so much time and money to brainwash them with the Combination of "tough guy" assholes like Limbaugh and Savage, and the crazy religious Zealot types like Beck and Coulter?

Because those types of personalities ring true with them. Folks on the left can see past that bullshit and view reality. Now... that being said... there are those types in the left wing media too. But, as the conservatives say....FOX is #1, MSNBC is way down there... Why? Because we aren't so taken with such things.... it's certainly not that there's that much LESS of us. Just that MOST of us on the left can problem solve better and not need someone to spoon feed us what our opinions ought to be.

And it works, too.

Just reading this board informs us of how well it works. All these tough guys, these self made men these gun queers, these self proclaiming lovers of freedom?

they are the biggest pussies in America.

Natural born serfs, the lot of them.

Sounds like you hate the middle-class. You must be a Republican.

rdean.....you're so full of shit.

It's idiots like you that have made me not want to post on this forum as much as I used to.

It's like a mouse-fart in a hurricane when you try to tell the truth around here.

There are so many lies coming from the left, and their sycophantic fans (rdean, truthmatters, etc.) gobble up all of them asking for seconds.

Its a hoot, this one and many more like it,scream daily how bad and evil the "other side " is when the group that it supports is of no difference.

Really shows just out of touch so many are, there are millions of hard working NOT rich Republicans ,just as Dems but they prefer to be handled and repeat nonsense they hear with litte thought.and with so much disdain for someone that doesn't think like them.

Just a common tool

I very might be.

I certainly know childish braggadaccio when I see it posted.

Very few of the trolling imbeciles who claim to be conservatives on this board are remotely conservative.

That is fairly obvious.

So Bohner wanting the Senate to do their job and pass an extension longer than 2 months means the GOP hates the middle-class?

Hilarious!!!!

Sorry, but that dog won't hunt. But if enough lying shit-for-brains Democrats repeat that it sounds logical simply by repetition.

Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes accepted fact. Just like the GOP is the party of dirty air and water and the Tea Party is full of terrorists and racists. Both are total horseshit. When they first started saying that ridiculous shit I figured nobody would fall for that.....then I see idiots here on the left repeating it over and over.

Here's the unvarnished truth:

The Dems have been able to convince the retarded public through their biased media that not doing their jobs and simply kicking the can down the road means they care about us. The failure to pass a budget for several years shows they're screwing the middle-class yet they claim they're on their side. Fact is nobody knows how much is being spent and where it's going because they don't have a budget. We're living in fantasyland with faked numbers and imaginary projections that always prove to be wrong.

The Democrats don't have a majority anymore in both houses and they refuse to do anything to improve the economy. We're paying billions in interest to the debt they refuse to address. This only multiplies as inflation goes up due to the shrinking dollar. Their past actions and their current inactivity will only end up costing us in the future. They don't want us to know how much till after the next election. They will continue to wait till the whole mess blows up in our faces and then when it does they'll figure out a way to blame it all on the GOP.....just like they did this payroll tax-cut bullshit.

The House has been doing their jobs, sending bill after bill to the Senate and Harry Reid has simply shit-canned them and waited till the last minute, passed a stop-gap measure nobody likes then quickly left town. This is not a way to run a country, but as long as the Dems have anything to say about it that is the best we can expect because even though the Democrats are accusing the GOP of playing politics, they themselves are doing so.

Doing the right thing has to suffer because it's not politically expedient. Put on a good front, lie about the real state of the economy. It's working because the facts are being hidden from the public by a slobbering press.

A positive spin is being put on bad news. Obama does nothing but fuck up yet he's supposedly gaining in the polls because of all of the good news his bought and paid for media is telling us.

Nobody in their right mind does tax policy in 2 month increments yet the Dems have found a way to convince the public that it reasonable.

They found a way to get it done last year, why couldn't they do it this year? Fact is the Dems don't feel they have to do the right thing anymore because ether way they'll never pay a political price for it. So they choose to do what's best for Democrats and they say screw everyone else. And the public agrees with them.

Congress is disfunctional, and all that does is help Obama. That was the goal here.

Another 'lies and false premise' fucking troll thread by the most predictable, partisan troll on this site...

What did he say that isn't true?

I've been waiting for some RW'er to step up and show him where he was wrong. But so far I haven't seen one person take anything he wrote to task. They just attacked the messenger.

That says a lot. :eusa_whistle:

I don't know about 'progressives", but this pragmatic liberal believes the President has done a pretty good job.

Class warfare has been going on for quite some time..it's just now that the side getting fucked is starting to wake up. And yeah..the GOP..who could have taken steps to add parity to the system instead assisted the slide the middle class was experiencing. And it's useful to note that the GOP meme of "Obama is a dictator" and "Obama's lack of leadership" doesn't exactly match up. Because they are polar opposites. It's also interesting to note that the GOP supports the credit rating assessment..because for the first time in history..they factored in political conditions instead of just using a mathematical equation (which the got wrong the first time around). And given their blunders in the past..this buttresses the GOP view of the S&P? And it's not the ObamaCare legislation that's burying us in debt, indeed it's been scored as saving money over the long term, it's the 2 wars we are going to have to pay for..brought to you by the GOP.

People are waking up.

Sorry dude, but Afghanistan, Libya, and everything else from here on out is Obama's baby. We didn't want him to go into those wars. He did it with is eyes wide open.

You beat me to it. Well said.

Tax cuts to the rich (yes, along with spending and Bush's War) have increased the debt to an almost unsustainable level.

They pushed Trickle Down Economics down our throats with the premise that they would invest and spend more, thus creating jobs. Guess what? It didn't happen. It was a LIE and Reagan's Budget Director, David Stockman even said so.

So now we have a huge debt that the wealthy greatly benefitted from and guess who has to pay it back? That's right. You and me.

Yeah. This is class warfare all right. Only the GOP started it.
