Largest block of voters - group GOP hates - the American Middle Class

You progressives are flat out scared to death to run on your guy's record...aren't you? Three years of "Change You Can Believe In" (It's almost amusing now that so many normally intelligent people fell for that) has brought us to the here and now. By all means lets make this be about "class warfare" and not about the Obama record. Let's ignore the fact that Obama took more in corporate donations than McCain did in 2008. Let's see if we can get the American people to buy that the GOP hates all those EXCEPT the filthy rich. God forbid that we should simply look at Obama's lack of leadership and the sorry state of the economy. Let's pretend the first credit downgrade in the history of the nation never happened. Let's ignore how bad of a piece of legislation ObamaCare really is and how badly it's going to bury us in debt.

Yes, lets talk about how the rich aren't paying their "fair share"!

I don't know about 'progressives", but this pragmatic liberal believes the President has done a pretty good job.

Class warfare has been going on for quite some time..it's just now that the side getting fucked is starting to wake up. And yeah..the GOP..who could have taken steps to add parity to the system instead assisted the slide the middle class was experiencing. And it's useful to note that the GOP meme of "Obama is a dictator" and "Obama's lack of leadership" doesn't exactly match up. Because they are polar opposites. It's also interesting to note that the GOP supports the credit rating assessment..because for the first time in history..they factored in political conditions instead of just using a mathematical equation (which the got wrong the first time around). And given their blunders in the past..this buttresses the GOP view of the S&P? And it's not the ObamaCare legislation that's burying us in debt, indeed it's been scored as saving money over the long term, it's the 2 wars we are going to have to pay for..brought to you by the GOP.

People are waking up.

Sorry dude, but Afghanistan, Libya, and everything else from here on out is Obama's baby. We didn't want him to go into those wars. He did it with is eyes wide open.

Sorry dude. We were in Afghanistan long before Obama got to the White House. It was the only right decision made by Bush in his supposed "War on Terror".

Libya's over..was a success..and was cheap. Both in blood and treasure.

If you say so.

My information says it cost us billions.

Currently our stockpile of weapons is exhausted thanks to Libya. Fact is Obama is cutting back defense spending so much replacements aren't forthcoming.

Yes..the 600 billion or so allocated this year..won't be enough.

Sorry dude....we weren't the ones who said Iraq was a bad war and Afghanistan was moral war. Bush used the Northern Alliance to kick the Taliban out of Afghanistan. The only troops we sent in was logistical and Special Forces in an supporting/advisory role. Democrats whined about how Afghanistan was being neglected for years. They cried for us to pull out of Iraq to send them to Afghanistan. Bush didn't send 30,000 troops into Afghanistan, Obama did, although reluctantly......and now Obama is negotiating with them and Biden is claiming they're not the enemy anymore simply because the way he chooses to fight wars isn't working.

Afghanistan was the right war. It was over in weeks. Osama bin Laden was trapped in Tora Bora. Then Bush had a brilliant idea. Let him go and hit Iraq.

That's when the clusterfuck started.

The largest block of voters is the one Republicans have worked to squeeze and tear down.

Whether it's:

Slashing funding for education.

The apology to BP.

Sending Middle Class kids off to wars.

Helping the Chamber of Commerce send jobs to China.

Wanting to get rid of the EPA (a few more birth defects are acceptable).

Helping health care companies get as much as they can.

Then there is the slap in the face:

Wanting to help banks and insurance companies but not the car industry and all the millions of jobs connected with the car industry.

Working to destroy the unions.

Voter suppression.

Holding millions of unemployed hostage to get tax cuts that benefit mostly the rich.

Fighting tax cuts for the middle class.

Refusing to invest in America but investing in Iraq.

Being wrong about everything.

Running on "jobs jobs jobs" and then passing abortion laws and making ads insulting to gays (see Rick Perry).

So what exactly is the Republican strategy this time? The majority of Americans know they are on the side of the super wealthy and have no respect for the Middle Class. Voter suppression can only go so far.

:lmao:

When I need to escape reality I tune in the sci fy channel. You spout on a message board. Get help!!

Mud, you are one dumb fuck. We weren't at war with the Afghans. Or the Taliban. We were supposed to be there to exact retribution on Bin Laden for the murder of 3000 Americans on American soil. But that had to wait until after Bush's Iraq adventure.

In fact, it had to wait until we had a President that simply said, with no theatrics, that he intended to capture or kill Bin Laden. And President Obama did just that.

As far as Bush kicking out the Taliban, why is it that the Taliban are the people that we have been fighting there for the last ten years? Bush ignored Afghanistan for a war in Iraq based on lies. And then kept the costs off of the books.

The failures in Iraq and Afghanistan rest wholly with the Bush Admin. Our current President is cleaning up the incredible mess left by the Bush Admin.

Libya was done on the cheap, and was a success. We aided in the removed a dictator that was responsible for the murder of Americans. Now the future of Libya is totally up to Libyans. That is as it should be.

Another 'lies and false premise' fucking troll thread by the most predictable, partisan troll on this site...

What did he say that isn't true?

I've been waiting for some RW'er to step up and show him where he was wrong. But so far I haven't seen one person take anything he wrote to task. They just attacked the messenger.

That says a lot. :eusa_whistle:

which is usually what happens when Dean or Chris post anything......but thats something they brought on themselves,Truthmatters....same thing.....

Well we see the NEW talking points memo has been sent out to the Useful sheep..

Now it's VOTER suppression..

They just can't find a good reason for the Obama's poor approval rating. so it has to be the fault of the Republicans..

Voters have short memories and some no memory at all. We got here because of republican policies, but you would think history started with Obama. It is surely odd how the human mind can live so ardently in the present.

"This is when the Republican Party set its trap. Meeting in closed sessions at the beginning of the Obama regime, the party of tax cuts for the rich, unfunded wars, and the largest deficit in the history of the country redefined itself. It suddenly became the party of deficit reduction through lean government joined to supreme confidence in unregulated financial and corporate markets. It even opposed the bail out of General Motors and Chrysler, though these actions stopped unemployment from reaching a dangerous tipping point, allowed the two companies time to reconstruct themselves, and enabled them to pay back the loans within two years–-creating one of the most successful bailouts in the history of Euro-American economic life."

and

"The probability, then, is that the next election will be close. It could also be fateful. Not because it is apt to enable the kind of electoral transformation the country urgently needs. But the Republican Party already has a majority on the Supreme Court, which increasingly attacks the rights of workers and consumers. If it captures the White House and both houses of Congress it will pass Draconian measures and deploy repressive tactics to stifle public dissent. All in the name of freedom. What to do?" William E. The Republican strategy is the same as it always is....to scare white suburban voters with a brown or black boogieman.

From Reagan's "welfare queen" to Willie Horton to Saddam to Bin Laden to the Rev. Wright to mexican immigrants to Obama, the Republicans always try to find a brown or black man to scare white voters with.
And it works, too.

Just reading this board informs us of how well it works. All these tough guys, these self made men these gun queers, these self proclaiming lovers of freedom?

they are the biggest pussies in America.

Natural born serfs, the lot of them.

Wow, you just sent the Asshole Meter off the charts.

Its a hoot, this one and many more like it,scream daily how bad and evil the "other side " is when the group that it supports is of no difference.

Really shows just out of touch so many are, there are millions of hard working NOT rich Republicans ,just as Dems but they prefer to be handled and repeat nonsense they hear with litte thought.and with so much disdain for someone that doesn't think like them.

Just a common tool

Tell me why the republican fight for tax cuts for the wealthy but dont seem very interested in tax cuts for the little guy?

First, one tax covers retirement for many and the other is government operations that has enough money to give a half billion to supporters in the way of BS science

that makes no sense.

Why during a time when corps are making record profits and the little guy is struggling to hang on are the republicans defending the wealthy yet making the little guy kick in more
