Lack of Job Growth

More people covered is more people covered by insurance. That is different than health care inflation which is a measure of what the delivery of health care services cost.

There is a difference between shifting costs and buying more than inflation. This is just a fact. You can call me any number of names but the fact remains the same. If you don't understand these facts you will continue to say things that make you look really stupid.

If you refuse to educate yourself that is your problem.
If you refuse to pop your head out of your socialist ass, that's your problem. "Shifting costs" is a lame attempt to obfuscate the fact that somebody is forced to pay for somebody else. The ACA is "keeping costs down" just like government backed loans is keeping college tuition rates down.

If non payers are getting services then the payers are going to foot the bill. That's called an increase in the real world.

No ACA is keeping costs down by reducing expenses associated with needing to check people back into hospitals.

Shifting costs is called shifting costs in the real world. There isn't any attempt to "obfuscate" the issue, let alone a lame one.

So keeping people in the hospital longer cost less?:lmao:
And just how many people need to be readmitted? Give me some numbers.

The problem was that they were kicking people out of hospitals before they were ready. By keeping them there longer on their initial visit they were less likely to have to come back which was a major expense and inefficiency. So less time in the hospital on average.

The ACA made this change because they looked at the data and it worked.

So where are the numbers?

Educate yourself, or not. It is up to you. I am simply letting you know you are wrong. I am not your teacher.

We're going to see a 20 to 50% increase next year and thats a fact.
The Right claimed that every year since ACA passed and it has yet to happen. You need to come up with some new lies.

So all these people are lying?
Google

You are using what is known as selective sampling. You are also making the same mistake you did earlier where you confused shifting costs with inflation.

I'm not the one who keeps brining up inflation.
Fact of the matter is healthcare costs are skyrocketing since they implemented the ACA.
And you ignored post #29..why?
And even when the insurance companies tell you a major hike in premiums is coming all you do is try to deflect by saying "but it would have been even worse without the ACA" all the while offering no proof of your assertions.

Your shits weak....

You are still confused about what is being talked about and you still refuse to educate yourself concerning the facts.

If I ignored something you said it was probably because I thought it was irrelevant or the issue was addressed in something else I said. I am not here for your amusement or to educate you.

You guys keep saying it kept down inflation but offer no proof of it.
And how you equate a 20 to 50% increase to keeping down inflation is beyond me.
When 85% of the 10 million are subsidized there is no way in hell my cost did anything but increase.
You people are a bunch of loons....
Increasing the number of people covered isn't inflation. If you go buy some gas you measure inflation by how much you pay per gallon, not how much you paid to fill your tank.

I am not overly interested in educating you. I am just pointing out where you are wrong factually and logically. If you are too lazy to educate yourself there is nothing I can say that will convince you that I am right.
So more people covered proves that rising costs are keeping inflation under control? You are a fucking moron, and that's not a figure of speech. Your arrogance ain't gonna hide it.

The insurance premiums that went up in price often went up due to the risk pool associated with that insurance plan. Insurance itself is about shifting costs from high cost people to low cost people. You are confusing the shifting of these costs and the delivery of more health care to health care costing more.

Certain types of insurance plans were hit harder than others.

Health care costs themselves have seen lower inflation rates under Obamacare as certain inefficiencies were discovered and addressed.

We are talking about the cost of insurance premiums, which by definition shift costs from one group to another. That is how they work.

See you are still talking premium prices which don't just change based on the cost of health care going up but all sorts of other factors including how costs are being shifted around.

This conversation about ACA and inflation started with regards to UHC. UHC would presumably be funded through taxation as opposed to premiums so that would have a different cost shifting dynamic than ACA. You previously expressed concerns about the cost of health care going up with UHC and then referenced premiums while I referenced the actual cost of health care.

The cost of actually delivering care went down due to provisions in ACA. This fact doesn't mean premiums will go down. Even a basic understanding of our health care system would lead you to this conclusion.

This thread started about Jobs and it is just a fact of life that a health care system based on individuals buying private insurance plans makes it harder for that labor to compete against foreign competition which has their health care funded in other ways and in ways that significantly lower costs. It is just a fact that health care is cheaper in UHC systems than the US system.

You have spent post after post being totally confused about what is being talked about. I hope this clears things up. Reality can be a hard pill to swallow when it goes against your strongly held beliefs.

It is just a fact that health care is cheaper in UHC systems than the US system.

More importantly, if people shop with their own money and providers compete on basis of price and quality prices would be about 20% of what they are now and life expectancy would be increased 10-20 years. This is called Republican capitalism.

Do you have the IQ to understand??
