This CAN'T help the Democrats in November! Especially since we are clearly on the RECOVERY side of this Democrat created economic crisis! Could it create enough anger to turn California RED?

Ha!

They are locked down forever...unless they are arrested...and make bail....to roam the streets....forever...

How is this the recovery side. when the data for new cases fluctuates. When the numbers drop consistently then we will see if its a recovery or just a hibernation.

Yes people want to get back to work but some do not want to catch this disease. I am still working and I travel for work most of the time when I am not at home working. I see people still wearing masks. I see people who do not wear masks. I can understand both sides of the argument. The chance that you catch the disease is low and the odds are in your favor that it will not cause death. Well for young people. For older people like your parents and grand parents the odds are not in their favor.

I have notice that most oriental people wear masks. Whereas other races there are some who may and some may not. Older people tend to wear masks. But some younger people do too.

The issues is not if you will survive , it whether a relative may survive. Still I do not have a problem if people want to get back to work. I am enjoying driving down the highway with minimal traffic. Now if those road crews would just take a break it would be smooth driving.

In other words, it would be immoral to go back to work as long as a single person lives at risk

Did you see yesterday's election results?

The purpose of the lockdown was to "flatten the curve" and get the hospitals prepared so they didn't run out of beds or ventilators (and to get PPE into place). That's been accomplished.

It was never meant to hide everybody until the virus vanishes completely. That was never the intended goal.

Now it's time to start opening up slowly and cautiously! But with resolve!

How will the city pry the homeless out of 5 star hotels with delivered booze, drugs, cigs and room service??

There is no cure at this time and it will take a while. i am not saying to remain in locked down. I am just saying some people need to take it more serious. At this time social distancing and awareness is the only strategy. Influenza pandemics have been going on for over 80 years. on and off. Nobody believes that the lock down will last forever as realistically it can't. This is a new virus and strategies have to be developed. In my job I wear a mask. It is not for just my protection, it is protection for others. also even if they do not worry about it.
