Whether we like to hear it or not history does have a tendency to repeat itself.

Does that mean blind hate is okay in your book as long as it does not affect those you care about Neser?

hmmm is rod's point a religious one or more summed up by ....evil happens when good men do nothing?

her injection of religion is certainly reasonable as the majority of the killed where of one religion....there were also many other killed but the jews were still the majority.

a person speaking out for tolerance and peace..and foreshadowing what could easily be happening in this country should not be told to take it back to her church...she should be thanks for not being willing to stand by and watch evil take over...her stance is much harder than yours

Thanks strollingbones. The slaughter of innocent people should always be a concern for everyone. Whether it is done to a religious group or a secular group of people. Murder of the innocents in the world because one group feels threatened or is able to create a firestorm of hatred should never be acceptable.

    I agree with you RodISHI

Blind hatred and violence against innocents is never right or acceptable.

Of course it isn't. That was one of many reasons we went into Iraq and why we will almost certainly find ourselves in the middle of what is fast becoming a civl war in Pakistan. The Taliban and Al Queada are all about the destruction of innocents that get in their way.

I don't really care what color Obama is what I do care about is that his domestic policies will make it increasing difficult if not impossible to prevent the slaughter of human beings that is a daily fact of life in most of the third world.

What happened on 9/11 did not change the world. It revealed it for what it is and in the third world that is largely a collection of medieval and worse despots most of whom are primarily interested inplundering rather than governing the people over whom they rule. The Taliban and Al Qeada are no different. That what they seek to steal are minds and bodies rather than gold doesn't change that a bit.
