Klavan Exposes Obama...

First, Obama took office in Jan 2009, not 2008. The financial meltdown had not yet reached its peak by Jan 2009. Everybody knew that the UE rate was going to rise.

And the $2.28 gas prices? What were gas prices before Obama took office? According to this chart, in July 2008 gas prices were over $4.00 per gal -- even more than they are now.

Hmmm....looks like as soon as Barry was elected the prices started climbing again, and still is. So what's your point??

My point is that the recession drove down gas prices, and that they are now back to around the same level they were before the recession hit. My point is that blaming Obama for gas prices rising back to the level they were before the recession, is imbecilic and dishonest.

Again, I ask the question -- what do you believe was the cause of gas prices dropping nearly in half in just a mere few months back in 2008? Surely you don't believe that Bush's policies had anything to do with it.
Here's more to the equation. Average prices were lower before 2009. Obama's putting the pox on drilling in the gulf, then China and Russian drillers moving in really screwed America.

The man has been poison to the common man, who is getting neither cheaper taxes and has gas prices now off the charts, thanks to all Obama's combined poxes on the Gulf, then on the Canada pipeline deal that he put the pox on. The man in the Oval Office wants America to suffer. After all, he listened to "God Damn America" sermons for 20 years before he decided to take the damning in his own hands and put it to this country.
He won't even let anybody check his school records in Indonesia, where the only people allowed in schools are LEGAL residents of Indonesia. Anger doesn't describe my full feelings for hurting Americans like Obama has. He's a total crazy person who hates us so much he had to spew it all over Europe his first three months in office. Out with Barack Obama! He is who he's been with for years--people who spit hatred out at America for all that 236 years of history since the Declaration of Independence made it to be.

And what caused them to drop from over 4.00 per gal to under 2.00 per gal in a mere few months? Bush's policies?
W saying he was ending the drilling Moritorium. That same day prices started sliding in most of the US. It killed the selling long on oil futures overnight. The day Obama was inagurated, the prices started rising because the campaign promises to destroy the energy industry in America were being kept.
I think you are correct, big guy.

And I think putting tens of thousands of high-paying jobs away made for a lot of misery in a Hurricane-torn South.

Obama did more financial damage to the south than Hurricane Katrina did by putting the pox on the energy businesses Democrats have always hated and tried to do away with.

It's time to do away with Obama's presidency as November approaches, and Romney will certainly help this nation's energy businesses get back to work in our waters. Let China and Russia dig in their own territories, and let America drill the waters we purchased when we bought the Alaskan territories. Those should remain with us.

Any President who think he's such a big ass he can get rid of all America's wealth ought not to ever ever be allowed to serve as a politician in this nation again.

Yes
Papa Obama is so alien to most Americans now

it is like
the insect overlords have taken over
Yes, but we can end the damages. We can give him the boot in November.

I hear the Democrats are already trying to see how many more ways they can screw America before they're out. Pelosi's probably got her eye on the US Treasury to see how much more of it she can tuck away for her family like she did in the Solyndra and related scandals.

Obama reversed all the good W did, and then nailed the coffin closed with the Deepwater Horizon disaster gave him the open door to essentially kick the drilling rigs out of the gulf and to Brazil and Egypt among other places.

Every possible step he's made has been the wrong one on energy... unless his goal is to destroy the American way of life. Then they were just shy of perfect.

Can you list a couple of things President Romney will do to reverse same?

I can only say this much that I am fairly certain of is that Romney's core philosophy is not going to be one that desires to bankrupt a functioning industry such as the energy sector, or go fascist on the Health Care/Insurance industry. I do believe he is pro-business and making an environment stable enough for business to grow in this nation. His stint in at Governor has given me a few reasons to be a smidge worried though.

That said... he has not given me much indication that he would be too much better than W was. Now mind you, W in his first term, with the exception of the NCLB, Medicare Part D and The DoHS, was pretty good. The second term was okay up until the economic crisis where he screwed the pooch big.

But regardless, I do not think Romney will continue to use the EPA as a weapon against energy companies anywhere near as much as Obama. That is an improvement. As for other pro business policies... I'm waiting for more definite statements. Romney was not my first choice by far, and I'm not convinced on him at this time, but removing Obama is paramount.... and Romney needs to prove he won't continue that disaster's policies. His chance to be a second Reagan is there... but he's not stepping up to the plate to do it.

Excellent post. I tried to rep you but I need to spread some around first. :)

Klavan Exposes Obama...

I'd never seriously take Cliff Klavan. It's a little known fact that he's just an inept letter carrier who hangs around a bar when he's supposed to be on the job.
Here's another Klavan gem: "- It's a little known fact that cows were domesticated in Mesopotamia and were also used in China as guard animals for the forbidden city."
And we're supposed to take this thread seriously?

Interesting, NoLabel, that you post about a letter carrier, since you remind me of nothing so much as an envelope without an address.

Cowards with a dire need to be accepted...or else. Intellectual dishonesty is the path they choose and decry it when they are caught in the act.

Yea, well about those gas prices...........they were $1.89 per gallon on January 20, 2009, true story.

I don't think they are lower now than they were then, unless there's some funky math I don't know about.

What sent them to that level, after record high gas prices under Bush?
