1. "A teacher in California has been suspended after it was revealed that she may also be a porn actress.

2.The Daily Mail reports that word has gotten around the Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School in Oxnard that 31-year-old science teacher Stacie Halas is also "Tiffany Six," the star of such online offerings as "Tiffany Six Shows Her Amazing Hot Legs At Casting."

3. Apparently an office worker at the school somehow stumbled onto one of the videos and notified the superintendent. Halas was immediately pulled from class and placed on administrative leave while her superiors investigate.

4. "Maybe it's not a crime as far as the penal code is concerned, but we feel it's a crime as far as moral turpitude is concerned," said Oxnard School District Superintendent Jeff Chancer.

5. "We’re trying to determine if there’s a nexus on what she does on her own time and what she does in the classroom," he told The Smoking Gun."

And, will President Obama call, and encourage her?

What about Shawn?
Shouldn't his condoms be paid for by the federal government, whether he uses
'em or not?
And shouldn't he be made Principal? Or Superintendent of Schools??

Any problem with either of 'em teaching your youngster?
Any problem with the fact that, if it is a problem for you, the school
would tell you to 'mind your own business'?

 

To be honest, whats the big deal if this woman did porn or not? if shes no longer doing it and a good teacher, she should be allowed to teach. I really think its ironic that porn is a billion dollar plus a year business with a growing number of women customers but people act as if porn stars are members of the Taliban.

I don't want my little children to think that making one's living in that manner is inconsequential.


There was a time when the public schools were the guardians of middle class values. And teachers respectable....

 

The thing the teachers out there that actually molested kids don't have a porn star past.

Some people have different ideas on who should and shouldn't be a teacher, when I was in California a local lady started up some shit because there was an Iraq War Veteran teaching her 4th Grade class, in her opinion her baby shouldn't have to learn from a war criminal.

Let me refine mine.

Gertrude Himmelfarb, in her book “The De-Moralization of Society,” writes

1. We no longer think of virtue as the classical virtues of wisdom, justice, temperance, and courage, or the Christian ones of faith, hope and charity, or even the Victorian ones of work, thrift, cleanliness, responsibility, self-discipline, perseverance, honesty and self-reliance. Generally, what comes to mind is the sexual connotations of chastity and marital fidelity.

2. From a historical view, in the sense that history is that which is experienced by ordinary folks, “Victorian values” are actually what we call middle-class values, and include thrift, cleanliness, responsibility, self-discipline, perseverance, honesty and self-reliance…but also those values that are crucial to the “work ethic,” promptness, regularity, conformity and rationality. Note, this constellation is of value to capitalism, and changes agricultural workers into an industrial proletariat.

If I could find individuals with the values and virtues in the above, I would say those should be the standards, at least the stated ones, in our schools.

I don't see the problem. It is a legal way to earn a living and she is no longer practicing porn. People have a past. Simple as that. Not everything you do is going to be honorable in your past no matter who you are. Persecuting people for it is asinine IMHO.

 

I knew the state had at least one Republican teacher.

 

What is interesting in this case is this is the same school where two students engaged in a sex act in the back of the room with other students recording action resulted in the firing of the inattentive teacher up front.

If Stacie pays attention and teaches, that is more important than what she used to do.
