Just a ? about my Nook

I'm trying to get my Nook to recognize the connection from my Wi Fi device on my laptop and I can't figure out why it won't connect. I live on a ranch in the middle of nowhere yet I have 4 G on my lap top but I can't figure out why I can't get my Nook to recognize ANYTHING from here.

I have no problem when I'm in town to download books, etc,,,,

Any suggestions?
