Jeb Bush: Stop blaming my brother

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is standing up for his older brother, saying President Barack Obama should "move on" from blaming the former president for the nation's economic problems.

Because Bush's "economic problems" caused Obama's "eonomic problems" and until they are solved they are going to continue to be Bush's "economic problems." Two wars unpaid for and continue, tax cuts for the rich unpaid for and continue and 26,000 wounded troops on disability being paid for and continue, etc.
In Jan 2008, Bush's eocmomica problem became Obama's economic problems. An "economic noose" continue to hang around his neck.

Now we're hearing from Jeb? Where's he been the last couple of months? Wonder why Mitt lost? One reason, definite lack of enthusiasm from Republican heavyweights.

Blaming Bush for every disappointment in their lives is the preferred therapy by those suffering from a certain mental disorder.

I'm no fan of the Bush family, but the man has a point.

Obama has overplayed the blame game. He needs to be a man and take the Truman approach.

JEB! himself was no picnic. Stumblebum Charlie Crist had to clean up the hot ass mess JEB! left behind. It runs in the family: Bush I, Bush II, and JEB! All hat and no cattle- learn from the past and stop repeating mistake after nincompoop mistake.

Regards from Rosie

Yeah, and good ole tan-in-a-can Charlie did such a bang-up job that he couldn't even win a 3-way race for the Senate!

So Jeb, the possible next annointed one is calling 6 out of 10 people out? Everyone knows the mess that Bush left will take more years to clean up. Yup, this one will come back and haunt Jebadia...

Many voters still blame Bush for bad economy - Yahoo! News

Jimmy Carter left a heck of a lot greater mess than George Walker Bush ever did.

You never heard Ronald Reagan blame him for it, as you heard the blamer/crybaby-in-chief blame and cry about GWB unceasingly, for his entire first term.

If Obama had the unmitigated guts to blame Bush for at least three years, will he have the guts and honesty and integrity to blame his immediate predecessor - you know, the one from 2008 to 2012 - again?

A few easily verifiable facts:

* The Bush tax cuts more than paid for themselves. After the tax cuts, federal revenue increased by $780 billion in 4 years. Total federal revenue from 2003 to 2007:

2003 -- $1.78 trillion
2004 -- $1.88 trillion
2005 -- $2.15 trillion
2006 -- $2.40 trillion
2007 -- $2.56 trillion

* The Bush tax cuts gave the largest rate cuts to the poor and the middle class. If you doubt this, just go get an income tax table from 2002 and compare it to one from 2004 or later.

* The Bush tax cuts gave the smallest rate cuts to the top two brackets, and after they were enacted the rich began to pay a larger share of the total federal tax burden.

* The Bush tax cuts had nothing to do with the deficit. The deficit occurred because Congress increased spending even more than revenue was increasing, even though revenue saw the largest 4-year increase in American history.

All of Bush's policies and actions after October 26, 2001 are completely irrelevant, imho. The man should have been indicted on the spot for treason against the US, as should every other public official that put their name to and kept TPA alive (including Obama).
