If you are in dispute with China and need help, look no further. Japan has your back covered.

TOKYO — Saying that his nation will play a larger role in regional security, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan said on Friday that his government would support Vietnam and other nations that have territorial disputes with China by providing patrol ships, training and military surveillance equipment.

Mr. Abe, speaking at an international security meeting in Singapore, said he wanted Japan to shed the passiveness that has marked its diplomacy after World War II and take more responsibility for maintaining regional stability. He said Japan would cooperate with the United States and other like-minded nations like Australia and India to uphold international rule of law and freedom of navigation, and to discourage China’s increasingly assertive efforts to take control of islands and expanses of ocean that are claimed by other Asian nations, including Japan.

“Japan intends to play an even greater and more proactive role than it has until now in making peace in Asia and the world something more certain,” Mr. Abe said.

China is not happy with US and Japan co-operating with each other.

BEIJING: A Chinese general has hit out at the US and Japan for working in cahoots in order to stoke trouble for China. US defence secretary Chuck Hagel and Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe were working together to create disturbances in the South China Sea, he said.

"My feeling is that Abe and Hagel were singing notes in chorus," Lieutenant General Wang Guanzhon, who is deputy chief of the general staff of the People's Liberation Army told a gathering of military generals and strategic experts in Singapore on Sunday.

He deviated from the written speech to take on the two nations after Hagel and Abe criticized China on Saturday.

"They were corroborating and colluding and using the opportunities to speak first at the Shangri-La Dialogue to take the initiative to provoke and challenge China," Wang said. "It is the US and Japan corroborating with each other not China," he said.

China has sided with Russia and Iran, and blown the US away in the wind.
About time the West boycotted all things "China".

Since when was communist China the West's best buddy?

China is a totalitarian society at the moment which makes it naturally gravitate towards other totalitarian societies. That is why there is close alliance between China and other totalitarian regimes such as N Korea, Iran, Pakistan, etc.
