Jane Fonda to play Nancy Reagan

Now the radical RWers are suggesting that we aren't to accept that view of The Oscars and The Gold Globes as to who is and who is not a good actor.

CLASSIC!!!

By todays right wing standards, Ron and Nancy would be considered left wing socialists. Ron wouldn't even have won the GOP nomination. He came from that liberal state of California. He's like Romney only way more liberal. The right today would have not approved of Ron if he ran today.

So I think it fitting Hanoe Jane plays Nancy.

A butler's viewpoint of Reagan. Can you imagine what the maid might have said about Bubba Bill Clinton?

It's actually an amazing story. Didn't expect you to check it out, though.

It's about a man who worked in the White House for more than 30 years - under 8 Presidents - and worked his way from being a dishwasher to Head Butler.

Apparently he was very friendly with the Reagans, and Nancy invited him to a State dinner at one point.

It's quite an "American Dream" sort of story.

No, I am saying that. I can actually find film critics who agree with me, and some who don't. Unlike you, I can express an opinion without dragging others into the conversation. The reason for that is really simple, I think for myself.

Makes sense to me.

Not.

In the midst of recruiting an all-star ensemble for his long-gestating passion project "The Butler," director Lee Daniels has tapped Jane Fonda to play Nancy Reagan.

Jane Fonda to play Nancy Reagan in 'Butler' - Entertainment News, Film News, Media - Variety

**Written by Doug Powers

Because the cast of “Game Change” is still on vacay, in fairness to the producers of this movie, Jane Fonda was the only far-lefty with acting experience who was available for the part — but only because Sean Penn didn’t fit the dress.

First, politics aside, Fonda is a fine actress. No arguing that.

Second, if you're expecting an unbiased portrayal of the Reagans, you're the king of Fantasyland.

She retired after 1980? Who was that in On Golden Pond, Agnes of God, The Morning After, and all the other movies she has been in since her retirement?

By the way, she does not claim to be born again. That means something specific to a Christian, so please do not misuse it to make a point.
