In Canada:

MONTREAL (AP)—Three inmates have escaped from a detention center in Quebec City with the help of a helicopter, police said late Saturday.

It's the second helicopter-aided inmate escape in Quebec province in two years.

Provincial police said the helicopter headed west from the Orsainville Detention Center after the escape.

"We (are working with) a few partners like the airports of Quebec City and surrounding areas, the military bases, and of course there's a ground search in the event that the helicopter is located," said police spokeswoman Audrey-Anne Bilodeau.

Police identified the inmates on Twitter as Yves Denis, Denis Lefebvre and Serge Pomerleau and told anyone who sees them to not approach them and immediately contact police.

They were being held at the detention center waiting to stand trial.

In March of last year, a helicopter pilot was forced at gunpoint to pluck two inmates from the St-Jerome prison on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Two inmates climbed up a rope ladder into the hovering helicopter and fled.

Police caught the two escapees and the two suspects who hijacked the helicopter within a few hours of the escape.

The Outlaws and their Bandito allies consistently use higher quality and greater quantity of weapons than the Canadian armed forces. The Hell's Angels are lying low because of some PR errors like eliminating their own Chapter du Nord in Quebec for accounting irregularities, using actual missile attacks in the European northern war and making ATF agents full members in AZ. However they are suspected of having bigger arsenals than their opponents. Canada like Japan has a lot of highly suspicious suicide findings.

Canada has always had this problem only now it filters south. Gangs quietly rule Canada while the premier reigns. This same pattern has been repeated since at least the 1783-1815 fur wars with the Hudson's Bay Company, Company of Adventurers and American Fur Company shooting at each other. Now the MC gangs use helicopters to distribute drugs and bust their members out of prison.

The chopper landed in the courtyard of the detention center, which has barbed-wire fencing and a watch post, and then quickly took off with the three inmates, heading west toward Trois-Rivieres or Montreal, police said.

Authorities were put on alert across Quebec, in the rest of Canada, and in the United States, according to provincial police.

"We have co-operation with all the police forces across the country and abroad also," said Sgt. Gregory Gomez. "We have many, many officers who are scattering all the areas possible. Investigators are, of course, checking every lead."

Police were reluctant to provide many details about their investigation for fear the escapees could be monitoring media reports.
This may be a silly question, but why didn't guards at the watch towers or watch post fire at the helicopter while it was landing?
