Lately I've been hearing two arguments about the ACA go back and forth.

First, when opponents of the ACA argue that the market should decide the value of healthcare and that doctors should be able to charge whatever people are willing to pay, ACA advocates complain that's an unfair ultimatum. I hear a lot of "It's either pay or die, and that's wrong."

Second, when opponents warn that doctors aren't happy with the decreased pay and increased red tape that goes along with Obamacare, advocates of the ACA brush it off with statements such as "What are they going to do, work for Wal-mart?"

So, how is it wrong for Doctors to tell patients "Pay this much or die" but it's perfectly acceptable for patients to tell Doctors "Charge this little or go out of business."

I agree. Obamacare isn't free market but it advertised that way. On the other hand, The Ryan plan increases free market participation and it is trashed by the same democrats for doing so. The democrats’ mentality can be best summarized by the following quote.

By the way, and I hope you dont mind me posting this, have you seen this wonderful online series?

It is great to hear the voices of children at play amid the great political scene. It eases the tension and brings forth a well earned chuckle.

    John Galt indeed!

You say the ACA but it's not clear exactly what you're referring to. Are you talking about Medicare specifically? Or Medicaid?

I say "the ACA" because it's usually supporters of Obamacare who also feel that they have a right to all the healthcare they desire at the expense of either the taxpayer or the Doctor.

You bemoaned the "decreased pay and increased red tape that goes along with Obamacare."

So I'm curious what you're referring to.

Gotcha. I'm referring mostly to Medicaid. It's a pain for clinics to get any money from Medicaid offices and it often is less than the cost of the service. That's why so many physicians are dropping Medicaid
