Ivanka Trump Stepping Up for Ukraine

I wonder how her father feels about this, especially since he spent most of his time as president blowing Putin?

I'm as critical as anyone about Trump. And his statements at the start of the war about Putin being a genius were retarded.

But Trump has pivoted and is seeing the war crimes Putin is committing. So he is now criticizing Biden for not being tough enough. He is now saying he'd be stronger than Biden.

That's fine by me.

This is a battle between Western and American values against a 19th century concept of chauvinism and revanchism, a concept that crushes individual liberty for putrid ethno-Nationalism.

Trump is not our enemy. The vile anti-human policies that threaten the post-WWII order that has given mankind its greatest period of peace and prosperity - promoted and protected by America - are.

Trump is on our side. I won't criticize him for his past mis-statements.

The only reason Trump pivoted is because everyone else has been saying Putin has been committing war crimes. Trump is simply changing his tune because he got chastised for his earlier stupid remarks and now is trying to say he'd be tougher than Biden because Biden is being pretty tough on Putin, and Trump always has to say he'd do better and stronger than anyone else.

Remember how he always tried to convince people that he was the "best" president, and the "toughest" president? I can think of many other presidents that were better than him. Approximately 43, as I think Nixon was the only one who was worse.

Right now, I don't care about the reasons.

What matters is that he has changed is tune and is on the right side of history and America.

The only reason he changed his tune is because he FINALLY realized he was on the wrong side of history. If there hadn't been an outcry about his stupid statements of support for Putin, I'm pretty sure he would still be singing the same tune.

Ukraine began to supply grain to Europe by rail due to lack of access to seaports

The first shipments of Ukrainian grain were exported to Europe by rail, as seaports are blocked due to Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, agricultural consulting company APK-Inform told Reuters.

Ukraine is the world's largest producer and exporter of grain. Its deliveries were carried out through the Black Sea ports. Before Russia's special military operation, monthly grain exports exceeded 5 million tons.

"The first batches of corn in several thousand tons have already been exported across the western land border of Ukraine," the specialists of APK—Inform reported. They said the shipments helped lower the peak prices of the product. "Logistics difficulties remain, supply still prevails over demand, but prices have stopped falling," Reuters news agency reports analysts.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine reported on March 26 that, despite the military operation, there are large grain reserves in the country, which were provided for export.
In monetary terms, this amounts to about $7.5 billion.
______________
It seems that the leadership of Ukraine is going to provoke hunger in the controlled territories by selling off stocks of scarce grain, thereby solving the food problem of Europe at the expense of Ukrainians. Holodomor, anybody?
