It's funny when the Democrats discover road-kill in their soup.

The Democratic-led Virginia General Assembly voted in January to adopt the Equal Rights Amendment, claiming that as the 38th state to ratify the amendment, it should become part of the U.S. Constitution.

This despite the fact the deadline for ratification expired in 1979.

One more great example of the job being done by the American education system.

The deadline has been repealed.
House repeals deadline to ratify Equal Rights Amendment

What is all this antipathy toward the idea of enshrining in the U.S. Constitution the American value that all Americans are entitled to equal rights about, anyway? The Amendment simply says:

SECTION 1. Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

SECTION 2. The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.

SECTION 3. This amendment shall take effect two years after the date of ratification.

Five other states have rescinded their vote. It's DOA in the Senate, and Trump would veto in any case.

Why would any American be against male Americans and female Americans having the same rights? We are talking about the two halves of this nation. This smacks of an ulterior motive. What's the deal here? Please elaborate.

Whether or not is irrelevant. The deadline passed. It's dead meat. The rescinded votes are not forthcoming, most notably South Dakota's.

If supporters want it, they can do the work.

The term equal wrights is a non specific over generalization .

There are negative wrights and positive wrights that are associated with negative liberties and positive liberties .

There are protections from government , protections from other individuals through government ( contentious ) , and endowments through government ( highly contentious ) .

The meaning of " equal wrights " supposes to account for the equal protection of negative liberties but it does not account for the unequal endowment of positive liberties .
