An independent Russian newspaper has published what it said was a report by Russian military engineers suggesting a Malaysian airliner shot down in Ukraine was hit by a Russian-made surface-to-air missile fired by Ukrainian forces.

Do you remember a press-conference in Russian General Stuff in the summer of 2014, photos from Russian satellites showing Ukrainian fighter jet, evidence from secret sources at a Ukrainian airfield obtained by Russian mass-media, Hispanic flight operator Carlos, and so on? Forget it! It was only your imagination.

I wonder what those clowns will invent in support of a new idea.

The Dutch report about the downing of MH17 surprised Rosaviation, according to Russian news agency Interfax.

‘Rosaviation has a number of significant remarks concerning a draft final report about the crash of MH17, which was drawn up by the Dutch’, said Deputy Head of Rosaviation.
‘Indeed, we have received the draft final report. After examining it, I can say that we have more questions, than answers. Our specialists have a number of significant remarks about the document, about argumentation in it, about technical information. Now we are preparing our arguments, and they will be sent to the Netherlands soon’, he added.
He expressed a hope that the comments of Russian specialists would be included in a final report and the Russian side would receive answers to its questions.
‘They gave us only 30 days to consider the documents, instead of 60 days required by ICAO’, the official added.

Earlier it became known that the Dutch had send draft final reports to all countries which are taking part in the investigation, namely Malaysia, Ukraine, the United States, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

It seems we are now watching the first series of an endless story which may be called ‘Russia is struggling for the truth’.

Russia wants this issue forgotten because the evidence clearly points to the fact that the separatists shot down the Malaysian airliner:

"A senior Russian official has rejected calls for the establishment of a UN tribunal to try those responsible for the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 in eastern Ukraine last year.

Deputy foreign minister Gennady Gatilov was quoted by Russian news agencies as saying: “We are against it. We think it is not timely and counterproductive.”"

The Australian investigators remain unconvinced.

AUSTRALIAN POLICE, DUTCH PROSECUTORS BREAK WITH DUTCH SAFETY BOARD AT FIRST CORONER’S COURT INQUEST ON MH17 CRASH

The Australian Federal Police and Dutch police and prosecutors investigating the cause of the crash of Malaysian Airlines MH17 believe the Dutch Safety Board (DSB) has failed to provide “conclusive evidence” of what type of munition destroyed the aircraft, causing the deaths of 283 passengers and 15 crew on board.

Testifying for the first time in an international court, Detective Superintendent Andrew Donoghoe, the senior Australian policeman in the international MH17 investigation, said a “tougher standard than the DSB report” is required before the criminal investigation can identify the weapon which brought the aircraft down, or pinpoint the perpetrators. Their criminal investigation will continue into 2016, Donoghoe told the Victorian Coroners Court (lead image) on Tuesday morning. He and other international investigators are unconvinced by reports from the US and Ukrainian governments, and by the DSB, of a Buk missile firing. “Dutch prosecutors require conclusive evidence on other types of missile,” Donoghoe said, intimating that “initial information that the aircraft was shot down by a [Buk] surface to air missile” did not meet the Australian or international standard of evidence.
