    I've been to Israel many times, and I find that hard to believe. People there have free health insurance, they're leaders in high-tech, and the economy is booming.

    Israel's per capita income is at EU levels, but there are significant areas of poverty among the Haredi and Arabs because these two groups resist integration into the larger society.

    But the statistics are not accurate to picture the current world.
    It says, that statistics are for late-2000s.
    Normally such statistics don't change dramatically in 1-2 years.
    But, in late 2000s was also world-wide economic crisis triggered by US financial system, which then moved on to EU.

    Greece and Portugal are very likely to be found on the bottom of actual statistics.
