Israel lawmakers approve plan to displace Negev Bedouins 06/05/2013 BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israel approved a draft law on Monday to implement a plan which will displace thousands of Bedouins in the Negev desert, an Israeli rights group said. The Ministerial Committee on Legislation approved a bill which outlines a framework for implementing the Prawer-Begin plan, the Association for Civil Rights in Israel said."Today the government approved a plan that will cause the displacement and forced eviction of dozens of villages and tens of thousands of Bedouin residents," ACRI lawyer Rawia Aburabia said."All of this while the government simultaneously promotes the establishment of new Jewish communities, some of which are even planned to be built on the fresh ruins of Bedouin villages," she added. The Israeli government approved the plan in 2011, in what it says was an attempt to address the problem of unrecognized Bedouin villages in the Negev desert of southern Israel. The 2011 proposal was formulated without any consultation with the Bedouin community and rights groups slammed it as a major blow to Bedouin rights.Bedouins protest*The Regional Council of Unrecognized Arab Villages of Negev along with the High Steering Committee of the Arabs of Negev organized Monday a demonstration near office of Israeli prime minister in Jerusalem protesting approval of the recommendations.Knesset member Ibrahim Sarsour addressed the demonstrators confirming that his party, the United Arab List, rejected the recommendations. He expressed concern that the recommendations might be approved as a law and urged the Arab public to use legal means to try and prevent such a step.*Talab Abu Arar, another lawmaker, echoed Sarsour’s remarks but appealed to “the rational people on the Israeli side to treat the Arabs wisely giving them their rights, recognizing their unrecognized villages, and involving them in the planning process.”*He warned the Israelis against being driven by “racist and extremist blocs in the Knesset.”* http://www.maannews.net/eng/ViewDetails.aspx?ID=592835

It's about time Israel begins to remove squatters off their land. Heck, the Palestinians have been squatting in Israel for generations. Now don't get me wrong. It is indeed Israel's fault for making peace offerings to Palestinians, building a security fence & conceding the Palestinians their own land so they can remain in Israel. Let us join together & pray Israel ends this Zionist agenda & learns to treat the Palestinians with the same Arab country love, justice & respect the palestinians are so well accustomed to. And so well deserve. LET THERE BE PEACE ALREADY!

Bedouins get pushed around thruout the middle east
even in SAUDI ARABIA----the land from which they originated--
they are the GYPSIES of the middle-east----gypsies do not own
land either----not even in the USA

from WIKKI>>>>

In most countries in the Middle East the Bedouin have no land rights, only users’ privileges,[20] and it is especially true for Egypt. Since the mid-1980s, the Bedouins who held desirable coastal property have lost control of much of their land as it was sold by the Egyptian government to hotel operators. The Egyptian government did not see the land as belonging to Bedouin tribes, but rather as a state property.

In the summer of 1999, the latest dispossession of land took place when the army bulldozed Bedouin-run tourist campgrounds north of Nuweiba as part of the final phase of hotel development in the sector, overseen by the Tourist Development Agency (TDA). The director of the Tourist Development Agency dismissed Bedouin rights to most of the land, saying that they had not lived on the coast prior to 1982. Their traditional semi-nomadic culture has left Bedouins vulnerable to such claims.[21]

Thank God Israel has organizations still alive there like Rabbis For Human Rights.

Israelis only know how to deal with others through force, I think they learned that from Hitler.

You should.read Israeli Historian Shlomo Sands new book The Inventiom of Thr Land of Israel. I love reading how he sets out the history of Israel. And he tells how as a soldier in the IDF he watched fellow soldiers murder a rich old Palestinian man, before Arabs were even called terrorists, in Jericho. "I was startled by terrifying screams coming from within. I ran inside climbed onto a crate and through the window observed the prisoner sitting tied to a chair as my good friends beat him all over his body and burned his arms with lit cigarettes. I cliimbed down from the crate vomited and returned to my post frightened and shaking. About an hour later a pickup truck carrying the body of the rich old man pulled out of the station and my friends Iinformed me they were driving to the Jordan River to get rid of him.Pg 6

There will never be peace as long as people as ignorant and arrogant as you have any influence on the Israeli Gov. The Bedouins have been on the land of the Negev for between 5000 and 7000 years. They have survived the Egyptians, Romans, Arabs, Ottomans, and the British. They are said to have given aid to not only Aberaham but also Moses. They were on the land before the Jews even became a people. Now the Israelis are finishing a long period of ethnic clensing and if you don't see this the rest of the world will.

Soon their wish for a Bedouin free Negev will be fullfilled !!!

Great news! Send those Arabs packing!

the bedouins of the negev are migrants from arabia---
their society is similar to that of gypsies---they do not
engage in "land ownership"----but rather in tribal culture--
in fact not that much different from the american Indians
of the north american planes. Any suggestion that
they constitute a LOCALIZED society to any specific
place is sheer nonsense------they roam the entire
area of desert lands from the sinai to the
arabian desert and do not recognize
counry borders. There is no more reason to
consider them "owners" of land than there was to
consider gypsy settlements --encamped near streams
and rivers in Great Britain-----in fact none of the other
middle eastern lands do-----but the islamo nazis .
do see an opportunity to infiltrate Israel with them

in the other middle eastern countries----bedouins do
what many gypsies in the US and Great Britain have
done----they go to cities and pick up low paying
jobs-----and have an unfortunate tendency to engage
in petit crime. They are on the fringes of society in
LOTS of middle eastern countries including the major
country of their place of their orgin----arabia. I have
encountered a few in the USA---from arabia---products
of utter medical neglect in childhoor and utterly
illiterate. The people who should come to their
aid-----are the OIL RICH SAUDIS. and the emirates--
the egyptians do not seem to want them either---
they constitute a criminal class of smugglers in
the sinai. They are not citizens in many "arab"
countries ----perhaps a state of their own can
be carved out of the vast arabian desert
