ISLAM AND RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE The reality is that many sects of Islam do not believe in religious tolerance and their objective, at times plainly stated, is to rule the world with the words of Mohammed. The reason the Moslems and Hindus in India hate each other was the tendency of Moslem conquerors to invade India(before our Middle Ages) and force the Hindus at swordpoint to convert. The reasons for all the bloodshed in Yugoslavia in the 1990s was the Ottoman Empire's invasion from Turkey in the period 1500-1800 and forcibly converting the Orthodox Christians. During the Middle Ages, a religious Moslem fanatic from North Africa invaded Spain to convert the Christians by force.
