Is russia running out of gas?

Russia is a major world supplier of oil and gas and has been for a long time.

Ordinarily, this question wouldn't come up, but I was cruising the internet, and I noticed a long discussion on Russain TV about Oil and gas resources, and articles where Putin is
re assuring everyone that Russia is not running out suddenly makes me worry.

Putin is not that well known for his veracity.

And the russian evening news spent 10 minutes on the story that Russia is NOT running out of gas.

So it might be a good idea to get that hyper efficaint electric car now, rather than wait for later when gas goes up to $8 per gallon.

Russia will never run out, but they are short of people who understand the profit motive and engineers to get it done for sure.

You don't swear something unless you are pretty sure it is a likelihood.
