Very briefly: Russia is rich in natural resources and in natural talent, but it is very poor in its ability to make use of them. It exports a lot of its natural resources rather than adding value to them or using them at home. And its talented people rarely learn how to use their talents effectively because there is an overall lack of communications & management skills & training. Of course there are exceptions, like all my friends.... !
