It seems every week or so, a political pundit or newspaper columnist, metaphorically speaking, propels the president to Mt. Rushmore status. In fact, Mount Rushmore and Mr. Obama are invoked so frequently in the same sentence that I began to wonder if in fact there is a movement in place to chisel the 44th president on the South Dakota mountainside.

Why Barack Hussein Obama is the Greatest President of the 21st Century

Now, granted, the competition isn't that fierce. The most obvious reason such a bold statement can be made is that he's not George Bush. Floor-level bars aren't hard to clear.

Having said that though, there is still something to be said abut Obama and his place on the post-Rushmore Rushmore. His presidency cannot be ruled out as "great," particularly if he continues to execute his ambitious second-term agenda.

Consider this: in the history of the nation few Presidents have inherited a worse mess. Certainly Abraham Lincoln, who merely by the act of being inaugurated virtually lit the powder keg of the civil war.

Only Franklin Roosevelt inherited a worse economy.

No President has worked with a more inept Congress.

You mean the President who does not do his job and travels all over the place to sell his agendas, instead of staying at the White House and taking control and being the leader of our Governmental Departments and controlling congress?

It's a good thing, that there is no more room at Mt.Rushmore to put up any other Presidents.

Theodore Roosevelt should not be there as our 1st Progressive Anti - Constitutional President, let alone another Progressive President like Obama.

Th e greatest out of 2 presidents that served in the 21st century is a pretty low bar no?

There's still 87 years and the potential for 21 more presidents so why don't we wait until the century is over before we name the greatest president of the century?

He should have his picture posted on a bulletin board at the Post Office.

Mt. Rushmore? I think an Obama chia pet is more appropriate.

Not so easy anymore. He would have to get past the EPA first, by the time his supporters got through the process we would have our first Martian POTUS and everyone would have forgotten about BHO.

There aint enough rock on Rushmore to do one of obamas ears
