Is NOT repealing the ACA good or bad for the GOP in 2018?

There are some pundits who opine that NOT repealing the ACA by a GOP majority in Congress spells their possible loss of the House in 2018, while others conclude that not repealing of Obamacare is actually a "blessing" for republicans.

Bear in mind that throughout Obama's last term in office, the ONLY reason that Ryan and McConnell stated for not handing over a repeal bill to Obama, was his veto pen.....NOW, however, with Trump in the WH, the same "repeal bill" could have passed.....So, what happened and what are the consequences for the GOP???
BAD, since not repealing and replacing is bad for the country it is bad for the GOP and the DNC. Too bad the democrats are so damn partisan. If there is fallout it should be all be on the democrats. But of course you'll try to play their partisanship against the Republican.

"Too bad the democrats are so damn partisan", he queefs. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Partisan to pass the POS and partisan to keep the POS. If the Republicans were all party lemmings the thing would be repealed.

Health care costs will continue to skyrocket. I do not see how this could possibly be good for Trump or the Republicans who promised costs would be drastically cut.

ALWAYS remember, that Trump's promise was to repeal......and simultaneously REPLACE the ACA with a plan that would cover EVERYBODY, be BETTER and be CHEAPER......
So, where the fuck is that plan you bullshitted your following with, orange clown???

Republicans are damned if they do....damned if they don't

If they fail to deliver on their seven year promise to repeal Obamacare. They anger their base

If they actually do repeal and offer nothing comparable....They anger those depending on the insurance

You can rest assured that virtually every third party ad for democrats in the mid terms, will mention the ineffectiveness of a GOp-led congress.

Why wouldn't they?

Republicans in Congress have been promising to repeal Obamacare, balance the budget, cut taxes end illegal immigration .....if only they controlled the three branches of government

They got some splain'n to do

I don't see how it can be good for any democrat either or those who should be democrats but call themselves Republicans.

People will be pissed if their HC goes away or becomes appreciably more expensive. However, the ACA really only "gave" coverage to twenty or so million. So the gop's fixation on the word "repeal" was sort of like Ahab chasing the White Whale. Just pass a damn bill that repeals the mandate, and say "we repealed it." Then get committees to do some bipartisan fix in the Senate, and shove it over to the House.

Not to diss the thead at all, because it's a good topic, but McConnell pursued Obama like Ahab after the Whale. He's locked into a confrontational approach that is not working.

i just noticed the so-called president was wearing a MAGA hat with camouflage pattern. wow, how manly. he must be a real warrior.

As someone else posted........

Trump won because he promised to repeal and replace Obamacare. He has failed because he was lying. He will be punished for that. Every time health care goes up he will be at fault. No one else.

As is the usual cowardly political response, Trump will keep blaming Obama, and his half-brained base will cheer because..................well,because they're mostly idiots.

America should have elected someone who really could lower health care costs instead of a liar who said he would. The Republicans should have selected a nominee who could do the job instead of an inept glutton. The new face of the GOP is an old fat boob.

They're fucked either way.

Repeal a law that now has 3 times the support of your proposed replacement, you're fucked.

Don't repeal it and then go into the 2018 election promising to try even harder to repeal Obamacare and replace it with your hated plan,

you're fucked.

As long as we neglect to view health care of our citizens as a right, and as long as we continue to treat health care as a profit making enterprise to benefit only some of our citizens, prices will continue to soar and the quality of delivery at affordable costs continue to drop..

At every future Trump ego rally his supporters should chant "What's The Plan? What's The Plan? What's The Plan?" over and over until Trump coughs up his health care plan. They should not let the liar get away with making them pay higher and higher health care costs.
