So, at this time we face challenges on a global level such as:
  • Environment
  • Nuclear threat
  • Economy
  • Information technology

Perhaps it’s time to set up a world government, where every country has a say. All countries will be onboard or fought to subjection.

It would be humanity’s way to try to solve global issues - where national states has been proven inept.

Not a big deal, countries may be countries, but we consolidate ourselves for the better of all.

Good idea, right?

Among the most evil words in human language are commonwealth and for the good of the many. Commonwealth will always refer to the accumulation of wealth by the wealthy at the expense of the average person. All government is evil. That is what the people of the world must realize and in that realization end all government once and for all.

There will never be a one world government. Not in this century anyway.
As long as you have people that are greedy, money grubbing, sociopathic and psychopathic narcissists........you will never have cooperation between countries.
“Never” is a strong word, but perhaps it would be a good time. But thinking 4 to 5 hundred years into the future (renaissance time in retrospect) I find it hard to believe that we have held this fragile world together in any other way.

For the good of many, or perhaps the survival of our species is more fitting. We have put ourselves where we are by ourselves, we come from a time without governments. For a brief time we have tried national states. And right now we face challenges that won’t be successfully negotiated as is.

ErikViking...Please tell me you are under 25.....
No. Only trying a perspective that spans a bit further than what we usually do. Myself included.

This isn’t really working, it has run its course for a couple of centuries but perhaps we need to reconsider. It isn’t stable.

(Not claiming to have a solution, world government was just an idea)

Have you ever lived in China or any other socialist nation?....what makes you think a global government would be democratic or non-fascist?....

Plus your global government may end up not being concerned about the environment or any capitalistic economy we enjoy now....

Well, I do have…
And you have a valid point. Too much concentration of power is a threat. We usually cope bad with concentration of power.

On the other hand:
Humans create extreme possibility of moving themselves around the globe.
Pandemic occurs.
Every country applies their own strategy.

Bad move, humans.

Some county behaves bad.
Other places economic sanctions on it.
Oh, it’s capable of launching nuclear attacks.

Bad move, humans.

And, on goes the list…

Sadly enough, that’s most likely.
No, perhaps a world government wasn’t for us in the end.
Sad, we had it all, but couldn’t really handle it. This world, this place of life and opportunities.

More cooperation between nations is a better arrangement than a global government...if we got serious about cleaning up the UN that would be a good start....

I keep telling everyone there's only way that we will ever cure all of humankind's "ills"...........
