is flooding the tunnels a war crime?

How do you know the Hamas fighters would have time to get the captives out?
They might be holding them in the lowest part of the tunnel system which could quickly fill up with water and drown everybody..
With all the publicity of the intended flooding of the tunnels, they have time to get them out.

Get them out to where? .. :dunno:
You can disagree all you want but you know damn well most Palestinians are not in those tunnels. So obviously most Palestinians find someplace to be that is not inside a tunnel. It stands to reason that Israelis held hostage do not have to be held hostage inside a tunnel either.

Now if you have an argument that disputes that go for it.

According to the IDF generals talking on TV the Hamas freedom fighters are hiding in the tunnels.
Besides where else could they hide?
As part of their ongoing genocide on the Palestinian people. The Israel's are blasting every building into rubble.

Miles and miles of tunnels. The water is going to take forever to fill up the entire system.
That depends on how fast the water is being pumped into the tunnels if it's enough volume it could fill the tunnels somewhat fast. But Hamas would still have enough time to get out of the tunnels unless they were too scared to show their face.

Both freedom fighters. So are the thousands of Hamas terrorists.

The Israel's are blasting every building into rubble.

You the ones Hamas has used.

You might want to watch news.
The Israeli's are flatting the entire city of Gaza.

There is nothing new about that; that's what we did to the Germans in World War Two. It's a valid tactic to destroy whatever is valuable to your enemy. War is not nice especially urban combat which is the nastiest of all fighting. There is no way that an army can help but kill civilians when they're fighting in cities. The civilians have to get out of the way.

That and $3.00 will get you a coffee at Starbucks...

Meaning that the prospect of war crimes focused upon this tunnel flooding is worth zero... bopkess... goat $hit.

I don't think the Israelis are worried in the slightest.

Flood the damned things.... but mix-in a bit of aviation-fuel... and light-up the tunnel interior once it's filled-up a foot or two.
