    I remember seeing them in Pittsburgh the summer of 1969.

    they played at a rock festival I was at back in the Summer of '69...

    I know I saw 'em... but I can't for the life of me remember it...

    It was the 60s, if you can remember it, you weren't there. :D

    Same here, although I remember many others pretty well.
    Could it just be that they weren't memorable?

    yep... and I 'magine the drugs didn't help, either... :)


    but then again, I don't have any trouble remembering most of the other acts... 'specially Janis...

    I remember them doing Inagaddadavida, but that is it.

    A local radio station at the time dealt with the not-wearing-well of In-a-Gadda-da-Vida by speeding it up eight times normal speed so the whole thing played in two and a half minutes. Made the drum solo sound like a geiger counter at a nuclear waste dump.
