Under the assumption she had died in a car accident, John Chambers spent half of his life growing up without his mother.

But he says a quirk of fate by way of a chance meeting in Florida led to him being reunited with the mother he last saw at the age of four.

Till 1923 there was no civil marriage or marriage license issued by the state/government.
Till 1948 there was no recognized right to marry regardless of faith, the couple had to pick as single faith.
Some lesser religions permitted, but there were restrictions of the children and their recognition and what faith they were.
Most did not permit mixed faith marriage.
Right to practice faith meant following that faith, not making up your own

All's well that ends well. Regrettably, the sectarianism of the north Ireland is like something from medieval Europe.
