These are other sources of information to challenge the big conservative money which has taken ownership of most "mainstream" news sources. Ownership by the few = viewpoints by the few thus eliminating tough investigative journalism to be read by the many.

You read something new for a change to lubricate your thinking arrangement.

If anyone fears new sources of information then these selections are not for you. In spite of the fact that these selections definitely holds all political viewpoints feet to the fire. No matter what.

By the way LABOR is what makes money for the nations wealthiest and middle class as a team. Without LABOR the number in the 1% would be a much smaller number.

Outside of Fox new and talk radio leaning right care to name the other so called mainstream news that is owned by big conservative money?

Forbes, Wall Street Journal, Clear Channel, Washington Times, Daily News,,,,,,
I have no problem with people checking out news that appeals to their ideology, but they should look at the other side of the story with an open mind too. They probably are missing something.
Having a closed mind is really a waste of grey matter.

I don't know all these sources, but the ones I do know are radically leftwing. I don't see how you can say, as you imply, that they are fair and balanced! Some of those are frankly socialist. There's no point in reading stuff like that, unless one is very young, I suppose. Been there, done that, socialism is bad thinking.

I think the best neutral news sources today are The Economist, the Wall Street Journal, and Reuters website.

And on the the other side you have ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, Washington Post, L.A. Times, Newsweek, and Time magazine to name a few that all take to varying degrees the liberal slant. The truth is you can find any side of a story you want but there are way more news outlets that lean left than there are ones that lean right.

Nice job, at what point will the left and the libertarians join forces to actually defend the abuse of executive power. People think Ron Paul would have had no chance at the Presidency but he would have done much better than many Republicans think and would have generated real debate on the limits of the Presidency.

This debate is not a left or right issue. Some on the left and some on the right are very concerned about this issue. That debate is what this thread should be about, not whether the media is mainstream or not as mainstream media on the right and left applaud the imperial Presidency.

The problem with most people in this forum is that they think their side is always right on everything. The other problem is that these same people believe that everyone is completely on one of those two sides. And anyone who agrees with one side some of the time, and the other some of the time, well those people are just lunatics.

There is no one reporting unbiased news out there. If there were no one would tune in.
