An old bar owner in one of the poorer parts of Minneapolis, Minnesota made a documentary about life among the people that came in and out of his bar and that he met on the streets throughout the years. He had been filming people for decades. It takes a few minutes to get moving, except I liked it. One thing I found interesting is how he said in the old days, if he saw a customer had a lot of money on him, he would advise him to find a police officer, give it to him, and get a receipt so that he can pick up his money later. It seems they were often relieved of their money if they didn't.

The Gay Nineties bar (10:21) is still there today.

I have heard the name of that bar before as I live in rural Minnesota. I had assumed that if it actually existed, it must be a gay bar in the cities built in the 1990s.
