What is so hard to understand about cutting spending? If we a deficit every year it is clear that the government is too large for us to afford. Let's cut out every dept, agency,program etc that has been created since say 1980 and we will have a government of a size we can afford. We can dream about giving everything to everybody we just can't afford it.

Under Bush, we went from a $5.7-trillion debt to $10.6-trillon. The largest increase in US history. Were you complaining then? Somehow I doubt it.
