In Philadelphia, 22 percent of adults lack basic literacy

Aljazeera loves to stick it to us. They almost gleefully report this failure of our educational system and seem to be blaming you and me for it. It is “a vicious cycle of poverty and lack of education.” And they of course show us heart-rending pictures of single, black mothers.
