The controversy over statues in the former Confederacy is unneeded. The descendants of the traitors can join with contemporary Confederate sympathizers and Nazi white supremacists to view these monuments as honoring the sorry losers of the Confederacy.

However, everyone else must view the statues for what they truly represent, an enduring indictment of the traitorous Southerners. This is a truth the descendants of the traitors, the contemporary Confederate sympathizers, and the Nazi white supremacists should have their noses rubbed in every day.

These statues and monuments must also serve as another example of ignorant stooges who, through out history, have allowed the wealthy to convince them to throw their lives away to protect the profits of the fat cats. Conservatism in its purest form.
