They'd be falling all over themselves to report that this was an ominous warning to the tea party, the GOP for 2012, etc etc. Since it went the "wrong" way, it'll be another story that they zip past after giving it brief mention.

We already have been getting a lot of that in terms of wishful thinking from the Democrats in those threads.

In the two cases where the Republicans lost they were in marginal districts with marginal candidates and there were other issues in those races. In the other four districts there were no problems.

It would be cool and useful to see how this election played against the previous election. I would expect, given the amount of money spent, that the Republican vote would swing away a bit. It would be nice to know how effective all that spending was.
