tell me your political views so I can get a handle on who I am more in line with. People call me a Libertarian and I use that term myself however I registered Republican in 1979 on my 18th Birthday when I was known as a "staunch conservative", my views are still the same all these years later, I believe in personal responsibility, a strong but non aggressive defense with a non interventionist foreign policy, Capitalism to the point of laissez-faire, sound money and a Federal government much smaller than it is now, perhaps on the scale it was over 100 years ago.

laissez-faire does not work.

It has never worked and never will.

I believe we have to do what works instead of living in a fantacy land.

YES, AND APPARENTLY HAVING GOVERMENT MAKE ALLOF OUR DECISIONS IS THE WAY TO GO

you libs crack me up

Black market proves you wrong, it works almost to perfection.

Yeah and Mexico is living that wonderous dream right now huh?

Actually no,they aren't. It's government intervention that caused that problem, if drugs were legal, you would not see that problem along the border right now. Outlaw chocalate and the effect would be the same, there would be Coco Coco Puff Plants in Juarez, underground Kit Kat factories and smugglers bringing it across the border with guns a blazing and peeps like me buying up every Hershey Kiss and Milk Dud I could get my fat little fingers on.:eusa_drool:

hello...we agree on legalization of drugs...mostly likely not much else...

<---board pagan and witch

Maybe, maybe not. I tend to agree more with liberals on social issues(except gun control which I think is dumb) and conservatives more on economic issues, the War on terror and Iraq, I opposed Iraq when it was still just being talked about and both parties basically support the same F/P now so I guess I'm in the minority there.

i am liberal on social issues but more a fiscal conservative ...i catch hell from my conservative friends who ask who is gonna pay for all the social programs etc...i am full out against any form of gun control...for law abiding citizens..
i too, oppose the war when it was just starting...i remember asking all my liberal friends who were so gun ho for revengue.....do you have the stomach for a prolonged war....o they all said...6 months and it would be over...now they are pissed..want the war over...pretending they were not blood thristy on 9/12...i appreciate the canadas who came to our aid on 9/11 and after..which i find most americans dont really know about...but that is a whole another story...

yeah we'll try marxism:cuckoo:

Which is just the kind of thing laissez-faire economics turns into because of the pwoer struggle it sets up.

Why do you people think No one corners the market when their are no rules and police in the market?

To me non interventionist and isolationist are not the same. I want to trade with all, just no meddling in their affairs.

There is power struggles now and we have not had anything near laissez faire in our lifetime.

This is an easy question to answer.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A LIBERAL & CONSERVATIVE:

"A liberal is typically more concerned with distributing the golden eggs that the Golden Goose produces--while a conservative is typically more concerned with the health of the Golden Goose."

Hopefully that helps!

"The problem with socialism, is that eventually, governmnent runs out of other peoples money to spend." Margaret Thatcher.
