/—-/ I know you’re being sarcastic about Trump hiring the Squad to make democRATs look bad but they are the real deal. This is what has been festering underneath for decades. Like a boil on the democRATs neck, it’s finally coming to a head.

I am telling you. They are very radical Muslims tied to Linda sarsour. They do hate the USA and Israel and they are anti Semite. The female versions of Louis farrakan. Of course the democrats are going to embrace them.

The fact that these 2 flaming anti-Semites are ignorant enough to attempt to compare Israel and the Jews, the victims of Hitler's and the Nazi's attempted genocide of the Jewish people, to Hitler and the Nazis is all you need to know about and dismiss them as racist, extremist idiots who should be completely ignored....

I can't find the wording of her resolution anywhere, and I've just searched for half an hour and read a bunch of articles. This is what her beef is, and I'm not sure I can call it "anti-Semitic."

Omar said that she supports the resolution by Lowenthal, but would not support the other four that were introduced as a block since it includes the resolution that opposes BDS.

“When Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says, and I quote, that he is more committed to the settlements than any [leader] in Israel’s history, we should honestly say that it is an impediment to peace,” said Omar. “There are consequences to these actions when Netanyahu vows to make the occupation permanent by annexing Palestinian land in the West Bank.

“At the same time we are providing them with billions of dollars in military aid, we should say there are consequences to these actions,” she continued. “And in previous times, Bush and Reagan have said that.”

“We must support an end of the occupation and seek to achieve a two-state solution,” she added. “I believe firmly that the path to peace does not lies with a violent mean. We should condemn in the strongest terms violence that perpetuates the occupation. Whether it’s Israel, Hamas or individuals. We cannot also condemn non-violent means. We cannot simultaneously say we want peace and to oppose peaceful means to hold our allies accountable.”

Lowenthal's proposal, fyi:
House Resolution 326, introduced by Rep. Alan Lowenthal (D-California), expresses the sense of the House of Representatives that “only a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict can ensure Israel’s survival as a secure Jewish and democratic state and fulfill the legitimate aspirations for a Palestinian state.”

According to the resolution, “a United States proposal that fails to expressly endorse a two-state solution as its objective, that expressly or tacitly encourages unilateral annexation of territory, or is otherwise inconsistent with the broadly held consensus positions for resolving the conflict’s final status issues as reflected in previous United States proposals, is likely to put a peaceful end to the conflict further out of reach.”

I'm not seeing anything here that sounds like terrorism, either.

/—-/ It won’t be introduced until next week. Maybe that why you can’t find the full text.
Omar introduces resolution defending boycott of Israel, likens it to boycotts of Nazi Germany, Soviet Union

(2) opposes unconstitutional legislative efforts to limit the use of boycotts to further civil rights at home and abroad; and

(3) urges Congress, States, and civil rights leaders from all communities to endeavor to preserve the freedom of advocacy for all by opposing antiboycott resolutions and legislation.

From what I've read about the bipartisan anti-BDS bill that they will be debating, it doesn't sound as if this resolution is going to get much support.

But everyone needs to keep in mind that this is just a Resolution, not Law. It is just an "opinion" of the House, more or less, and is not going to prevent or enable any actual legislation, even if it is passed. At least, that's my understanding.

AOC did all the heavy lifting on Trumps reelection already. They think they are in. This is typical of folks who rise to fast.

That they would even entertain consideration of such hateful, anti-Semitic, anti-American drivel says a lot about the people who vote in the affirmative for such a crap resolution.

I don't hear hate. She is in support of nonviolent pressure and a two party solution. Where is the hate?

Maybe this should have been in the Israel/Palestinian forum, because that is what this thread is going to turn into. And I'm outta here. Don't know enough to get involved.

I am not surprised that you don't hear or see things that most sane Americans recognize as divisive and racist, as well as anti-Semitic. But given the source(s), your slavish worship of these hateful, colored bitches is no surprise, either.

of course not-----starvation siege is not "terrorism" in the minds of those who giggled over the death by starvation of more then 1 1/2 million Biafran babies

Maher 'kicked her in the teeth' publicly on Twitter, exposing her more as the lying, hate-driven Anti-Semite she is:

"But here’s the thing, the house voted 318 to 17 to condemn the #BDS movement, including 93% of Dems. Does Tlaib want to boycott 93% of her own party?"

"As if the occupation came right out of the blue, that this 'completely peaceful people' found themselves occupied. Forget about the intifadas and the suicide bombings and the rockets and how many wars."
