So, in an effort to help those who suffer from the delusion that they pay too much in taxes or that all of their taxes are wasted, we thought we'd create a list that BuzzFlash Readers can send to these whining babies, we mean, our Republican friends.

United State Postal Service! Oh wait, that is not a budget item, they are self supporting, right?

No one is stopping the elitist class of Libs from paying more in taxes.

There's a small problem with this list. In fact there are several problems. The first of which is that many of the things commented on are not Federal Issues. Many of them are paid for out of State or Local taxes, most of which people are not complaining about nearly as much as what the Federal Government steals from us. The other issue is that many of these things would be taken over by Private Companies if the government didn't do them.... like Air Traffic Control and the Post Office (which is actually a legitimate expenditure).

Honestly, as I went through the list, there wasn't a whole lot there that I want my Federal Taxes paying for.

Nobody really LIKES paying taxes.

Some of us are just mature enough to realize that they're a necessary evil that comes of living in a civil society.

The question for rational minds (and there are plenty of those on both wings of the divide) is what ought government do, and what ought it keep out of?

That's where politics comes into play, of course.

That's not much of a question, since at pretty much every level of government the answer is put in WRITING.... At the State and Federal levels it's called a Constitution. At the county and city levels it's often called a Charter. These documents lay out the way the government is supposed to work and within what limits. Not terribly difficult to understand.

What an hilarious list! This is obviously meant for comic relief and not to be taken seriously. This was especially funny:

"- Don't expect the government to stop the auto companies from building SUVs that roll over and kill your wife and kids."
