The true metal of the once and no longer Grand Old Party is once again shown to be their lust for power and willingness to sell their soul to the higher bidders. The Power Elite in the U.S controls what we know and manipulates public opinion in many ways. The number one method being negative election advertisements sold to radio, TV and Print mediums, sans any vetting for honesty by the mass media.
Why should they, they profit greatly by elections?
Of course the Democratic Party must also 'dial for dollars' leaving the vast majority of American citizens to vote for the least noxious candidate (defined by which negative attacks are the most effective).
The five members of the US Supreme Court have effectively murdered Democracy in America, and now the GOP has gone all in on our transformation from that Shinning City on the Hill to an Oligarchy, ruled by the power elite and the very wealthy who are able to buy entire legislatures on the local, state and national level.

I got an idea, how about we let any one give as much money as they want for political purposes and hold all political ads and political speeches to the same standard as we do when testifying in a court of law. Very simple concept, if the lie, they go to jail, with no statute of limitations. Can you imagine the heads that would explode?
