If you put such institutions under a microscope, you will find that they most usually started very conservative biblically and then drifted to the left in little steps... These "churches" have "theologians" who eventually came up with the Swoon Theory, the Non-virgin Birth Theory, Women Pastors, Non-Inerrancy of Scripture, Full acceptance of Evolution, Divorced Pastors, "Gay" Bishops, Non-Literal Creation Theories, The spilling of Blood is not necessary, No need of redemption, Jesus becomes only a good example to live by, etc., etc., etc...I don't see how a Christian could be a leftist.
