If we already know GOP policies don't help the economy, why should we vote for a GOP candidate?

All of the candidates' policies benefit the wealthy. We already know easing the tax burden on the top earners does jack shit to help the middle class or poor.

I think deep down conservatives know this. They are just too immature to admit it.

Conservative principles were FORCED on Bill Clinton & he ultimately signed them into law. The economy was very strong as a result.
On the flip side of that coin when the left took over congress years later the collapse followed soon after.
