Quite right. But I have to say in a country saturated with firearms you have to expect this to happen. I'm not minimising the Deputy's alleged actions, just trying to point out that there is going to be a heightened apprehension on the part of cops to being attacked by a person armed with a firearm.
Bullshit. It is amazing we don't have wild west shoot outs all over all the time.... I mean conservative estimates are well over 200 million firearms are owned legally in this country. More to the point, he DID NOT have a firearm... EVEN more to the point, if he had one, why would he wait till he was nearly helpless on the ground to try and use it, not when he came out of the car, and was not lying prone on the ground with a gun pointed at him?
