Sarah Palin has been completely vindicated regarding the Socialist genocidal maniacs running their health care system.

Even if it costs them nothing, no precious resources, and allowed the child to be cared for by others who volunteered to care for the child and pay the costs, THE EU BLOOD SUCKERS STILL WANT THE CHILD DEAD.

But I cant help but wonder, 'What if he was Muslim instead of Christian?

Exclusive - Sarah Palin: The 'Diabolical' Treatment of Alfie Evans Shows Our Future if We Ignore 'Death Panels' Warning

Alfie Evans is a critically ill toddler who was recently removed from life support against the wishes of his parents by order of the British government, following a United Kingdom High Court decision on April 11. British authorities also denied the parentsā€™ request to transfer their child to a Vatican-owned childrenā€™s hospital for treatment at the invitation of Pope Francis and Vatican officials who offered to cover the childā€™s healthcare and travel expenses.

Palin said, ā€œThe hospital and quote-unquote ā€˜health care providersā€™ wonā€™t listen to the parents of Alfie, and of course the parents want to take all these offers from others to help their special needs child who will die under the care of this hospital that is adhering to the socialized rationed health care rules.ā€

Palin recalled her 2009 Facebook post in which she coined the term ā€œdeath panelā€ to warn of the dangers of the Democratsā€™ push for a government-controlled healthcare system. She wrote:

The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obamaā€™s ā€œdeath panelā€ so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their ā€œlevel of productivity in society,ā€ whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

Health care by definition involves life and death decisions. Human rights and human dignity must be at the center of any health care discussion.

Palin reminded listeners that she had been ā€œmockedā€ and ā€œjust about run out of townā€ for warning about ā€œdeath panelsā€ during the months leading up to the passage of Obamacare.

Left-wing PolitiFact described her ā€œdeath panelsā€ comment as its 2009 ā€œLie of the Year.ā€ The comment inspired such heated debate that President Obama addressed her criticisms in a special joint session of Congress, where he said the idea ā€œthat we plan to set up panels of bureaucrats with the power to kill off senior citizensā€ is a ā€œcynical and irresponsibleā€ lie. However, in the years following the passage of Obamacare, left-wing pundits and Democrats like Howard Dean have openly admitted that Palin was correct that the denial of live-preserving treatment is inevitable within a system of rationed government-controlled health care.
And of course, Alfie isnt the only one being deliberately murdered by EU authorities.

The fight for Alfie Evansā€™ life appears to be at a close as his father, on behalf of the family, signalled that he would be working with the hospital ā€œon a plan that provides our boy with the dignity and comfort he needsā€ and asked his supporters to return to their everyday lives.
The ill toddler joins a list of other children removed from life support against their parentsā€™ wishes, whose stories have touched the hearts of people around the world and whose fight for their short lives found the support from high-profiled figures such as Pope Francis, Polish President Andrzej Duda, European Parliament President Antonio Tajani, and U.S. President Donald J. Trump.

Certainly. If the kid were a Muslim, would you be celebrating?

Um, it isn't the "EU"... it's doctors who realize this kid died a long time ago, and they've spent millions keeping his corpse alive.

If this happened in the US, Cigna or Blue Cross would have cut this kid off a long time ago.

Certainly. If the kid were a Muslim, would you be celebrating?
Of course not. He is still a human being, something you leftists cannot grasp.

He is a terminally ill vegetable who is going to die either way. I find it ironic that Christians who look to celebrate God and heaven like to blame the left when people die. Why aren't you thanking the Lord he will be set free and be present with the Lord? Why aren't you thanking the left for doing what Christians fear the most--letting nature take its course?

Actually we can Jim.

Religion or race or ethnicity have nothing to do with it.

What IS evident is this - the parents are in a heartbreaking situation and some folks want to use it to score political points. That's kind of sucky don't you think?

You have a child that is critically ill and on life support. An MRI scan in November 2017 showed that 70% of of Alfie's brain had been destroyed, and more recent scans in Feb 2018 showed even more destruction. That doesn't regenerate. At what point do you take him off? There is no right answer.

He is someone's child and that should not be forgotten.

It is a sad, heartbreaking story. I am hoping for a miracle.

The part that troubles me most is that the UK court is preventing Alfie's parents from taking him to Italy for treatment. Why do they have any say at all?

Apparently in the UK, the state owns your children. That should frighten us all.

No one owns children - not the state and not the parents.

I understand the rationale behind UK's laws. It's to provide the child an advocate and prevent some of the extreme abuses we see here between parents and sick children sometimes.

The EU? You don't have a clue what you're talking about, do you?

I work with someone like this. We had a conversation about the North/South Korean talks and it was like she lived on another planet entirely. And it's like this here.

The law is wrong in this case. There are no abuses. The child already has an advocate- his loving parents who want their child to get treated. They should have the right to take Alfie to Italy (or any other place) to get treatment.

Perhaps. But at some point when does "treatment" become abuse?

In my opinion, unless there is actual abuse, It is up to the parents to decide. They have a biological imperative to protect their child that no judge or bureaucrat has.

I'm done talking about this....it makes me too sad.

Perhaps. But at some point when does "treatment" become abuse?
I wish I were wise enough to answer that question....I do not have that level of wisdom but I do have that much heart...
That doesn't mean I'd be right...

That is why I feel there are no "villains" in this - it's just very sad.

Meh, not really. courts intervene all the time when parents aren't acting in the child's best interest.

These parents aren't fighting for the child, they're fighting for their own inability to let go and face the inevitable.
