If 2A is abolished, how are guns away from criminals? LE, private security, and the military will still have guns. They can be stolen or sold or both

Banning guns at the Federal level? ... that would take a new Amendment granting that right to the Feds ... most States have clear language in their State Constitutions granting individuals with the right to own a gun ... for example:

Michigan, Article I, Section 6: -- "Every person has a right to keep and bear arms for the defense of himself and the state."

Just repealing the Federal 2nd Amendment doesn't overturn these types of provisions ... does it? ...

This is like 18-year-old suffrage ... Congress couldn't pass that law until the Constitution was amended saying Congress could ... I think it's the same with guns ... we need to amend our Federal Constitution to give the right to Congress to grab guns ...

The Democrats interpret the 2A as only giving the Armed Forces (the militia) the right to bear arms. They aren't in favor of "abolishing" the 2A, but just spinning it to deny people the ability to defend themselves.

The only mass firearm confiscation in this country was in New Orleans, carried out by a Democrat Governor, State Troopers, and local law enforcement, backed up with Federalized Troops (that did not directly confiscate) sent by authority of Republican President George W. SonofaBush. Lessons were learned. I do not see Federalized National Guard Troops, following orders at the behest of a Governor to disarm citizens in an emergency situation.
