In the game of woes chapter July2018 illegal version a unique situation has arisen/arson: It seems that ill fated Jesper Joergensen, an illegal immigrant from Denmark, has caught the all seeing eye of not only US ICE, but the sheriffs of Costilla County, CO as he has been willing to burn down much of the state of Colorado this summer. Apparently the ravens have alerted the all seeing eye and Mr.Joergensen, pictured smoking a blunt below, will have hell to pay in the USA. Looks like he can count on going to Europe eventually & after some trials & tribs he may be hoping to just kick it freestyle back in Denmark. jesper_jorgensen_spring_fire.jpg Colorado-416-wildfire-MGN.jpg :FIREdevil::eusa_eh::drills::drills::drills::cry:

Danish man facing arson charge in Spring fire in U.S. illegally; blaze grows to more than 53,000 acres
  • By: By TONY PECK [email protected]

The man facing arson charges in the Spring fire in southern Colorado that has grown to more than 53,000 acres is from Denmark and in the U.S. illegally, according to media reports.

  • Jesper Joergensen, 52, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of arson and is being held at the Costilla County jail. Authorities have not said how they believe the fire was started, other than to say it was human caused.
  • Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a hold on Joergensen, meaning it would take custody of him once he is released by local authorities. The detainer is used when ICE believes there is probable cause to deport an individual facing local criminal charges, according to the agency’s website
The Spring fire, which began Wednesday east of Fort Garland, is the second largest of eight wildfires now burning in Colorado — the most of any state. The blazes broke out amid drought, gusty winds and temperatures that soared into the high 90s that raised fire danger to extreme levels. Gov. John Hickenlooper declared the communities affected by the fire a disaster area, making them eligible for state reimbursement for some of the costs of fighting the fire.

Asylum seekers enter Finland from Russia using World Cup IDs: border guard
By Euronews with Reuters Staff • last updated: 20/06/2018

HELSINKI/ST PETERSBURG (Reuters) - Five people have entered Finland illegally with the help of soccer World Cup fan identity papers and then applied for asylum, the Finnish border guard said on Wednesday.

The asylum seekers, of Nigerian, Moroccan and Chinese nationality, arrived from World Cup host Russia, which has provided match ticket holders with visa-free entry, a senior border guard official told Reuters.

“We had been prepared for this as we (knew) that one can enter Russia without a visa,” said Marko Saareks, head of risk and analysis at Finland’s border guard.

Ranchers and Drug Barons Threaten Rain Forest
By BLAKE SCHMIDTJULY 17, 2010

EL MIRADOR, Guatemala — Great sweeps of Guatemalan rain forest, once the cradle of one of the world’s great civilizations, are being razed to clear land for cattle-ranching drug barons.

Other parts of the Maya Biosphere Reserve, Central America’s largest protected area, have been burned down by small cities of squatters.

Looters and poachers, kept at bay when guerrilla armies roamed the region during the country’s 36-year civil war, ply their trades freely.

“There’s traffickers, cattle ranchers, loggers, poachers and looters,” said Richard D. Hansen, an American archaeologist who is leading the excavation of the earliest and largest Mayan city-state, El Mirador, in the northern tip of the reserve. “All the bad guys are lined up to destroy the reserve. You can’t imagine the devastation that is happening.”

President Álvaro Colom has grand plans to turn the region into a major eco-tourism destination, but if he hopes to bring tourists, officials say, he will have to bring the law here first.

Flash floods could occur in Costilla County burn scar
COSTILLA COUNTY — In areas affected by a wildfire, the vegetation is gone and the soil no longer absorbs water. Large amounts of water flowing downhill may cause flash floods.
Flash floods occur within a few minutes or hours of excessive rainfall. Flash floods can roll boulders, tear out trees, destroy buildings and bridges, and scour out new channels. Flash flood-producing rains can also trigger catastrophic mud slides and debris flows. You will not always have a warning that these sudden floods are coming.
Costilla County = the Spring Fire Burn Area.
